I had a Reclusiarch Chaplain with a Jump Pack Deep Strike solo behind enemy lines, and proceed to throw a Vortex Grenade into my opponent's Land Raider. Inside was Marneus Calgar and 9 Superfriends. The Chaplain took some Marines down with him in assault the next turn, but when the 'nade proceeded to scatter into 3 Masters of the Chapter that were hiding out of LOS from a Baneblade, it was wonderful.

That little 3" blast killed about 900 points of models, and deprived my opponents of 3 Strategic Assets. Glorious.

I played a 18k pt game with 2 friends (I had Chaos and the other two played Orks and Necrons) against 3 guys at a GW Apoc event. We set up a Pylon Network at our deployment zone's widest area, I had my Chaos forces positioned mid table. The 3 players on the other side had mostly nids with a mix of Tau and Chaos, after they deployed 8k worth of nids including 10 carnifexes, 5 tyrants, and 3 Barbed Heirodules they declared "game over".

A Giant wall of nids advanced towards the 3 Pylons. The pylons shredded the Heirodules, killing one and wouding the other two, the Nid player did an abrupt turn and thought he would march right over my chaos forces. His next words were- "Wait! Abaddon is over there?" Abaddon and a Khorne Lord on a Juggernaut with a Deamon Weapon destroyed the final 2 Heirodules easily. Neither the lord nor Abaddon took a single wound.

Later in the Game the Tau player deepstruck a Tau Tiger Shark 3 inches to close to a Pylon(the Pylons have AA mounted Destructor Beams) and he removed the beautiful FW model just as quickly as he set it down.

As a last resort the Nid player tried to deepstrike a Trygon with a full set of ravenours onto a critical objective in our deployment zone, My Chaos Conclave's Disruption Beacons let me place him anywhere I wanted on the board...nice and out of the way. We stomped all over the Nids and won the game easily.

This was actually not my best Apocalypse moment as I was not playing, just watching, but I did take the picture when a large number of Deathwing Terminators all went away in a single shot. It ended up being something like 27-28 of the Deathwing to an Eldar gun. As I recall it was quite a turning point in the game as a major Terminator offensive surge turned into a trickle.

Having a baneblade shot scatter off of a land raider, only to have it land on top of another land raider and blow it up.

Having a forge world bloodthirster against us my ally used his whole army against it and failed then lost 5 marines and decided to fall back so i went in with sicarius and his command squad and chopped off his head.

this one guy managed to pack about two thousand points of csm (like, 50 models) into a tiny corner of trhe board. my warlord hit them with a volcano cannon, there were only three left.

In a GW Aberdeen vs GW Dundee Apoc game my scythed heirodule single handedly accounted for 2,500 points of Dark Eldar. The player only deployed 1,000 pts on the board and some of these were those flying guys (I forget their name). They managed to get behind my lines and deployed a portal so that next turn his entire army could come out and attack my arse (metaphoricly speaking ). However the portal was marked by the small blast template so my Hierodule just walked over and sat on it . Her base is so large that it covered the whole template, preventing anything coming through.

I do remember a particularly fun match, having my baneblade shot land on O´shova´s head, while he sat in the middle of his uber killer suit bodyguard. When the smoke cleared, only two suits still stood (hovered?), which promptly ate a mass of heavy bolter fire.
This all against a particularly annoying opponent. Fantastic.

Ezekiel tossing a Vortex Grenade 12" BEHIND him onto friendly terminators, only to have it scatter onto a friendly Stormlord the next turn, and after a few very nice dice rolls, having it go apocalyptic destroying up nearly everything left.

my best moment with apoc games has to be driving over the hive tyrant with my landraider in the 6k point game i played with wannabe. Not only did it work out really well, but it caused much laughter between us, was a great moment and bagged me my 2nd tyrant for my personnal objective! All hail the landraider!

Must have rolled really well with Sicarius, it's pretty hard to drop a Gargantuan Creature with a single character.

two for me:

Watching my friend's Primarch with 4 bloodthirst body guard squad get anhilated by two vortex missles turn one!

The other when my 5 man marine squad that did nothing the entire game ran onto an objective last turn (rolling a 6 for their run move!), went to ground and survived everything shooting at them to win the game!

My friend DS his 25 termies only to mowed down over two turns by 40 scarb swarms.........

1) Six Harlequins pop out of a falcon and wipe out a full squad of Vanguard veterans on the charge.

2) 8000 points. The only thing that the enemy had at the end of turn four was half a squad of vespids. The score was 6 to 0.

3) Enemy Thunderhawk flies onto the table. Its big gun is quickly sniped by my nightwing. The Thunderhawk unloads a bunch of Spacewolves, and drop pods unload more. A squad of Wolves charges my allies Skullhamma and blows it up. Around 40 wolves die in the resulting explosion, including a dreadnaught.

I once brought a huge ork submarine to a battle at my local GW. A friend of mine, who´s playing orks, too, put this new deffkopta squad from Apoc.: reload in it. The submarine turned up in
turn 2, fired with it´s guns and 9 deffkoptas came out of it, dropping bombs on the IG lines.

I guess my favorite moments in the many, many Apocalypse battles, would be seeing my Stompa, Pulsa Rokkit and a baneblade go nuclear. I love it when they blow and leave a massive crater and when the dust settles only finding scraps of metal and body parts around it.

My favorite would have to be a tyranid vs ultramarine game, where it was pretty close the entire time. Then nearly all the remaining units were near the middle of the board. It was at this time I throw everything I had at his baneblade, apocolyptic explosion, and nothing that didn't have synapse died at the end of turn 4, because of it.

My Librarian threw a Vortex Granade towards NightBringer...it didn' go the right way. It instead (eventually) ate my bunker (which was holding three squads, oh my covers saves were gone), 2½ Tactical Squads and, finally, my own objective. We had only two objectives, one in my deployment zone, one in enemys.... man that annoyed me.
