Does anyone have an archived copy of the article on using a picture frame display base with magnets for your whole WH40K army?

It's easy get your frame and a piece of 1/4" (plywood, formboard, ect) the same size as the frame.
Glue the board inside the frame.
Get a drill-bit a slight big bigger than the base you want to use and drill out 5-10 holes in the board
Buy flat magnets and glue them in the holes.
Get thin washers that are magnectic(no stainless) and glue them onto the bottom of the mini's base(you also get more stable models on the tabletop this way)

While I've never had the honor to be a part of our hard working web team, I've spent a lot of time working alongside them. Black Gobbo, as a "check out the new content" delivery system, will certainly be missed by many. After 115+ issues it built a good following. Now, as well as losing our friend Black Gobbo, there are speed and navigation concerns about the new site.

Maybe if the whole US webteam wasn't pretty much fired the the website would still be running smoothly with decent updates. The new US website is a nightmare to navigate, very slow, and full of scripting errors.

GW seems to have a policy of getting rid of what ever is half good while at the same time supports and expands anything that is made of fail.

I found the old GW main page with the Wayback Machine, but seem to be unable to link to the Black Gobbo material. Is anyone out there more skilled with cache searches than I am?

EDIT- Got a little closer by searching for the News pages, which link to Black Gobbo. Looks like they only have up to August 2007 available- I'm not sure why more recent stuff isn't there. I think the Wayback Machine may only allow content to be searched up to a certain horizon. Maybe it's a legal thing.
And what I found has no pics.

Savnock, I could kiss you for your direction to the Wayback Machine! Thanks to you, I've found Dave Taylor's Conqueror, Destroyer, and Salamander conversion article that I've been looking for for the last week! It even included pics! You rock!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I was thinking of getting smaller magnets to fit inside the the bases and drill 1 and 1/8th holes in the foam core. Two layers of foam core are light and almost the perfect depth. I figured it would be lighter and easier to detail and paint. I just wanted to see the article again and get some ideas.

I've started with the frame. I was thinking of keeping the glass and caulking the back of the frame to hold the glass tightly against the frame then covering the front with two layers of foam core.

Has anyone done one of these? If so can you post some pics and your pro's and con's.

As a side note.....the GW website says the army case will hold 8 tanks and 108 troops. It doesn't look like it could hold 2 LeMan Russ, 3 Chimera and 1 Griffon. Does anyone have one? How many tanks do you have in it? Pic please?

Anyone has a copy of Black Gobbo #4? The article is called "Upon Yonder Window: Modeling Stained Glass". It is on the Wayback Machine, but without pictures!
