I think comparing this proposed list versus the current top tiered list is a fallacy as they will not be as potent in V edition. I am not worried about mech Tau as their skimmer tanks can only move 12", so I should be able to close with the Hammerheads quickly and trounce them... the rest is easy to deal with once the HHs are destroyed.

Well, this list is pretty terrible. Play marines, at least. You'll kick their trash until the new dex comes out.

How are you dropping them? Maybe split up the bloodletters so you get 6 units.. a little more choice when choosing wich side to drop round 1.

If you get 6 BL units you could drop say: big BL unit and your 5 MC and be in for a really fun game. Ofc if you miss your drop roll and gets just letters you are in deep trouble.

How about:

8x BL
8x BL
9x BL
10x BL
10x BL

Yeah, more units are better here.. since you risk abit when DS and scattering. It depends abit on how you plan to split the forces, you can even gamble and go for 6 units. Like 10-7-7-7-7-7 and gamble you get to drop the 5 MCs and the 10 unit of letters. If you manage to roll 3+ with that you will be one happy camper.. if you miss you better roll damn good in 2nd turn for reserves.

10-7-7-7-7-7 sounds like it could be the magic combination. I will try it out.

Man, you guys are bummin' me out a bit, seeing as I just bought the damn daemon codex.
I posted a list on another thread, so if you all care to tear that one up too, that'd be cool. I dont necessarily want the most ridiculous list that kills everything ever. I COULD totally get into that if it had a bit of everything in it. I dont know exactly what Im getting at, lol.

Was totally thinking of getting some new Bloodletters, as they've really grown on me. Though the Skulltaker figure scares me a little, maybe up close it's not as lame as it looks in all the pictures.
The Masque is also pretty hard to pass up with the 3 Pavanes a turn, and though I think they're pretty awful, I could be persuaded to get some of the Daemonettes.

If you don't run as large a army from a FOC standpoint as you can, you're looking to lose unless you have alot of luck.

I encourage players to drop demons into or behind cover. It just makes you lose faster. Who has move through cover? IC's. Who gets picked off if they are IC's? Oh, IC's. Who eats the dangerous terrain test if they drop into any terrain? Why, every demon but an IC. Seems like dropping in the open is the only way to keep yourself assured of survival. I really hate the 'if only...' stories. lol

Heading out for the game now. Looks like I will be up against Tyranids.
