Hi there again,
first weapon team is finished:

And a new snap-fit guy:

I was wondering, are the Snap-Fit Guys as utterly self destructively boring as the other snap-fits are?

I mean... could you use them to fill out gaps in a converted army, or are they sterile in terms of custimisation?

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

IMO, the biggest problem with the snap-fit guys is that you don't get the squad upgrade sprue. So you won't have the Plasma Guns or other cool bitz.

Yep, there are completely useless for conversions AND the lasgun is different AND the right shoulder pad is kinda flat- silly. But they're Guard so I ought to have a few .

@Ciaphas Cain:

Could you stand a snap-fit and standard Guardsman side by side for a more detailed comparison? I'm looking to fill out some holes left by no longer useable conversions, and I'd like to see what the snap-fits look like alongside a regular out-of-the-box Guardsman. Thanks.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Sizewise they are 1:1, so they'll blend in well.

The bit stuck on the side of England. Wales isn't it.

Great paint job , really nice work. I can't remember back to when I painted my cadians. I think my mind has blocked out all the pain. The best part were the heavy weapon bases. They were like doing little diorhamas.
Oh and a tip if you use a standing up buddie to go with the heavy weapon operator, that gives you a spare gunner to use on a second converted heavy weapon base , so you can get twice as many heavys for your money. I could post a pic to illustrate if you want ( you should forgive the paint jod for not being as good as yours if I do ).
