ok, ive seen 1,000's of dfferent nurgle armies, most painted different to another, yet this is the best one yet!
and who would have guessed, such horrible crap (marmite) helped 0_o (trust me, it tastes like crap, dont try it)

amazing conversions, and gotta hand it to you, your GS work is pretty good.

Sorry I meant like on the baneblade, you have the lighter color, and then the brownish spots all over for the rust looking like the paint peeled and chipped away.

I saw something like that before and the guy painted the thing in browns and reds for rust, then used some kind of watery latex in splotches all over, then painted the main color and then he pulled off all the latex and got a rust effect a lot like yours.

Did you do yours like that, or is the rust just painted on normally?

I use a marmite method, on the first page I have a tutorial, after that I just add rust randomly onto the surface of the model and layer it from there, time consuming but works well.

gotta ask, what do they smell like? XD

Havent finished it yet, but they will most likley be giclee prints on canvas. When I finish it up and have the few of them printed I shall let you know

or have you placed some greenstuff/spacers in between the two pieces?

James-its chaos warrior legs with the torsos added but i pin them and then sculpt around it. Time consuming but comes out okay.

The troops are even truescale. I think this is the most seriously impressive Marine army that I have seen in years.

So are the converted infantry that you built on regular running Marine legs shorter than the ones built on WHFB chaos warrior legs, or have you compensated for height somehow? I see that the crouched poses might help, but I was wondering if you were stretching the running legs too or doing something similar.

as for the running dudes yeah they are a little shorter, im waiting for the new chaos box set for fantasy to come out and im gonna use the chosen models with some GSin for my chosen models.

This thread, as we say in internet land, is Full Tilt Awesomecake! I may steal a few of these ideas and I'm not even a chaos player anymore... I perticularly like the "bell helms" on the terminators; somehow your models are closer to the artwork than even the offical models. Maybe it's just the "ruined" jive that you have gotten down so perfectly.

I hope you realise this means I'll have to eat your brains and steal your knowlage. *_*
