The only problem here is that you consider it a problem.

As Janthkin said, there are many different aspects to this hobby, and no single one is greater than any other. Some people just want to play. Some people just want to paint. Some people just like the background and have no interest in the game. Some people just like converting stuff.

I am like that person in your gaming group. I do not like painting at all. I much prefer the background to 40K, playing the game, and converting models/making terrain. I am not good at painting and garner no enjoyment from it, so I avoid doing it. I don't consider this a problem.

So, again, the only problem here is that you consider it a problem.

NB: As an aside, this weekend I do intend to paint one 'wing' of my Necron army. I bought my Necrons to teach myself how to paint, and we're all gathering together this weekend for a painting fest (unlike a few weeks ago when it was a building fest).

i think having no spray atm doesent help as priming with skull or chaos takes too long.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

I'm in my fifth gaming group.
There's always at least one member like this.
There's also usually one who wants to play, can afford to play, but can't be bothered even putting in the effort to assemble minis - let alone paint them - and fields an army of cardboard circles.

It's not a problem for me. They're usually under 15 and someone I just can't relate to anyway (I'm the 'elder statesman' of my current group'). I'll usually play one of the others.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

I hate painting. I am not very good at it and I lack the time or inclination to change that. I like playing still.

I also infinitely prefer to play games with painted models.

Very much a love/hate relationship for me.

Atleast your willing to try H.B.M.C. As I am also a fluff nutter it just makes the game "better" for me to fight someone with a painted army. Now your mileage may vary and the last thing I want to do is tell someone how to enjoy their hobby.

There's no spectacle in unpainted miniatures, you might as well play with bits of paper for what they're worth.

i'm got so tired of painting so many models that I never use I'm useing www.thearmypainter.com to paint my models.

I'm going to do a crimson fist chapter because I never stary to fary from imperial fists. with this I'm hoping to be able to have a fully painted army and be able to paint models a lot quicker so I have time to do other things.

paintings great but I'm tired of it.
