The FW BaneBlade was 140 GBP, and plastic is $95 USD

The Thunderhawk is 375 GBP, so plastic would be <$250 USD following proportional ratios. Discounted online would be $200.

GW could sell a bunch of Thunderhawks at $200 each.

That is more than likely the plastic version...

Remember, they were making it based off the FW model, with improvements/changes for sale purposes?

It's definitely not the old pewter one. The FW 'hawk is much bigger than the old pewter one and neither kit shared any components, which wouldn't make sense for this picture since there are many identical parts between the two 'hawks pictured.

This is definitely the FW 'hawk unless the plastic version is virtually identical to the resin version.

Again, no, it's not. It's the exact same Turbo-Laser Destructor as on the second Ultramarine T-Hawk in the first post.

On a side note, who the hell would ever field a T-hawk without the turbo-laser destructor? I mean, against anything but Orks? I really hope that option's in the new plastic kit.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Joyous_Oblivion wrote:The only reason they made the Baneblade in plastic was that Marines, Imperial Guard, Chaos and Orks can make use of it.

Not really.

Guard can use Baneblades. Marines can use them if they have Guard allies in Apoc (there are no Marine Banerblades). Chaos Baneblades, again, in Apoc or in Traitor Guard, but then you're still playing Guard, just Guard w/Spikes. Orks use big tanks based on the Baneblade. Essentially GW invented a bunch of reasons why other races could use it so they could sell it to more than one type of player.

Joyous_Oblivion wrote:Plastic T-Hawk doesn't make financial sense. And that's why GW isn't going to make one.

Most people play Marines. It makes more financial sense than a Stompa and the Baneblade.

Brutal in its simplicity.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias
