Best GW miniature (metal):
Khorne Lord on Juggernaut.
It's been a good year for metals. I liked Sgt Telion, Sigvald, and Sicarius as well. The Blood Knight leader is pretty awesome as well.
Best GW miniature (plastic):
Dark Elf Cold Ones...ridiculously good models. First whim purchases I've made in many a moon. The $22 helped. AOBR had some incredible character models as well.
Best other manufacturer miniature (metal):
Helldorado, Thirty Deniers. Awesome sniper.
Worst miniature (any category):
GW had some turds in the punch bowl, but some of the crap from other companies is far lower on the totem pole. For GW, had to be the Dark Elf Sorceress.
Best GW rulebook:
Codex Orks, easily.
Best GW fluff book
Titanicus.
Worst GW fluff book
Didn't read anything else.
Best (miniature-related) trend of 2008?
Details on the plastic kits. The extra gubbinz.

Difficulty getting the bitz I want. Frustrating.
Greatest (miniature-related) hope for 2009?
Same as last year. Space Wolves. Models. Plastics, metals, you name it.
Greatest (miniature-related) fear?
GW screws the release pooch. Going from November to May without a 40K release (new book/army - I know they have releases) is a gamble. Can they crank out IG/??/??/?? in 7 months? Inquiring minds want to know.
