Leftover soup I made last night. I love making soup - here's how I did this one:


- About 300g of random herbs from garden (mint, oregano, thyme, sage, lots of basil)
- A bunch of baby asparagus (about 150gm maybe)
- A medium onion
- Four cloves of garlic
- A four-inch long green chilli (also from garden, no idea what kind)
- Two handfuls of red lentils (they went green/off-white, naturally)
- 1.5 large potatoes diced fairly well.
- Garlic salt
- A bit of a dried spice mix with tumeric, fenugreek, fennel, coriander seeds, ginger, cloves and cumin.
- Half a small lemon's juice.
- An Arabic spice consisting of lemongrass, sesame seeds and I don't know what else (a friend makes the stuff, I have plenty... whatever it is).


1) Chop up all of the herbage. I then like to put it in a bowl of water to stop the aroma from escaping - the water becomes positively green during the preparation of the rest of the ingredients. Put a few dashes of lemon juice in here too.

2) Mince the onion and garlic, chuck it in the bottom of a pot with a good dose of sesame oil, vinegar and a teaspoon of honey. This will fry nicely - I like to brown it a bit.

3) Put in the herbs with about 6-7 cup of water (including the water that the herbs were in) into the pot, and put in the asparagus and chilli too. The asparagus and chilli are finely chopped.

4) Add two handfuls of red lentils. No prep required. Add salt and spices to taste.

5) Give it about an hour on med-high heat. At this point I had to go pick up my partner from work, so I took it off the heat and covered it.

6) I also bought potatoes because I didn't have any... diced those when I got home, chucked 'em in. Added a bit more water, balanced the salt... allowed potatoes to achieve state of edibility... little bit of butter on partner's request. Cheapens it in my opinion, but it's her dinner...

7) Serve!

This soup would be really nice with lamb in it, but I had no such thing.

Screw Moe's they are overpriced. Go over to Los Arcos off of Suwanee Rd. Good Food and Cheap. There Veggie Burrito is the bomb.

Well, I suppose most explosives are largely Veggie friendly. And it's a helluva entertaining way to show them the error of their ways. Never had a nice juicy steak explode on me before!

My last meal was a philly steak sandwich, fries and onion rings from a local place called Wolfburgers. In fact, there are no streets, people just crash through buildings to get anywhere.

We Baked chicken breasts with italian bread crumbs on top and gravy to the side, and my invention of acorn squash sliced in half loaded with sweet potatoe, butter, brown sugar, and a nice dusting of curry

Disney princess fun shape spaghettios + chili powder + 1/4 bottle chipotle tabasco sauce right now for lunch. Could certainly be worse

Had a quick and easy dinner as I needed to take some antibiotics.

4 Herta frankfurters with two dairyleas slices drapped over the top and partially melted. Two boxes of Mccain micro chips, couple of bread rolls and salad cream for dipping.

Was quite nice.

Italian-inspired potato fritters - roughly grated desiree, mixed with fresh torn basil and oregano, pan-fried with clarified butter, then finished off for 10 min in the oven with sharp vintage cheddar, sun-dried tomato and thinly sliced baby eggplant.

Sunday is all-day breakfast day.

I had some Sushi in the Foodcourt. Very nice it was too, but a shame I couldn't get the Wasabi open.

Grilled fish -- something fairly big I don't recognise but it was like Mackerel.
Homemade coleslaw.
Rice with red beans.
Homemade pickled daikon and chinese cabbage.
Grated green daikon straight from the farm.
A piece of chocolate tart.

Moe's- Chicken Club Quesadilla

Kangaroo mince in the form of a pie. What a great taste.

fish, salad (lettuce, tomato, cesar dressing), ham, bread, milk ,vimto , mince pies, eggs. the ultimate meal.

Pork chops, black-eyed peas and spinach. If in the north would've been cornd beef and cabbage.

I call this the Gary Sandwich of Awesome-ness.

She's got Ham, Stilton, Pickle, Beetroot, Mustard and Chili Sauce, and tastes simply amazing.

I only allow myself one a few times a month though

Leftover ham, baked beans and canned corn from the new years arson-fest. I always make way too much but it saves me having to make any decisions for a couple of days.
