Well, it's just a monster with a gasmask on. He doesn't seem to have any Nazi logos or symbols on them so the born-again Zionist can't really take offence in that. Unless he's a jerk or a crybaby, but that has nothing to do with the whole Nazi/Jew thing but more with him probably being all bitter about the fact that you're such a skilled painter.

Hehe thanks man - it was in reference to putting the krauts down as guard in a regular warhams game. Mr bloated corpse guy is very much a loner in my display cabinet along with a hive Tyrant I did a while back

I got a battle wagon in the mail today but decided to build it a bit differently for my Deth Orks of Kreeg army
with a bit of fiddling I got an open gun compartment on the upper superstructure and replaced the front wheels with more tracks

We just played a skirmish match using our tweaked ww2 warhammer ruleset, heres how it went down.
500 points for the Soviets, 300 for the Krauts.
Soviets
1 understrength Rifle platoon split into two elements, one mounted on a T34
1 Maxim HMG
1 BA64 scout
2 T34s
SS
1 Zug split into two elements
1 MG42 Zug
1 PZ IV in reserve
Mission type: Soviet probe
Location: Hungary or some gak
The objectives for the Soviets were the ruins and the road exit section, the SS had to hold these two objectives.
Turn 1
MG42 activates and opens up on the advancing riflemen, plinking a couple of em.
BA64 activates and hoons forward shooting at the Krauts in the ruins, killing one, they then activate and shove a panzerfaust up it's ass.
T34 carrying the desant troops activates and moves forward on the road,, unable to shoot, it gets hit by a Panzershrek from behind the barricade, stunning it and forcing the desant troops off.
The other T34 advances but its fire is ineffective at the zug in grenadiers.
Maxim plinks away to no avail.
Turn 2
The PZ IV arrives
The troops behind the barricade lob another Panzershrek round at the stunned T34 and knock it out, the remaining troops split their fire at the advancing SMGers killing a couple. The SMGers respond by opening up with 25 str 2 BS 2 shots whittling down the grenadier section to just two guys, they fail their morale check but because they are in cover they become pinned rather than flee.
The MG42 opens up and kills a couple more SMGers, their morale breaks and they flee.
the riflemen and T34 on the right flank both activate subsequentially and move forward, spraying the ruins with fire and wiping out the remaining grenadiers there - area captured.
The PZ IV's main shot goes wide and its hull MG has no target.
Turn 3
With no side willing to give up ground this turn essentially comes down to the remaining two tanks, the Panzer wins the initiative and knocks out the greeny
Turn 4
With the T34 out of the way the Panzer advances to weed the Soviets out of the ruins, it fails to hit them and they activate, it a freak spot of chance they charge forward, hurling a molotov and knocking out the Panzer but still shielded behind it from the remaining infantry
Result: draw
As a demo this was a pretty satisfying game, it moves alot quicker than regular 5th ed seems to. Tanks seem to be alot more vulnerable unless used properly (ie not deployed on a 4 X 4 board)
Firepower really is the god factor in this game, as hand to hand combat is only used when its absolutely neccsary, its much more preferable to exchange fire from behind cover than attempt to charge the enemy.

Interesting little skirmish. I still haven't tried out the rules myself, so damn busy... but will probably get a small game in tonight.
But to everyone else, I also recommend this WW2 module.

Gorgeous.
This thread, by itself, has seriously made me look into buying some German armour/'ed fists.
Where did you get the tanks from? I trawled the sites you provided, couldn't find them. Am I missing something?
Thanks a lot in advance.

The KT - beautiful! An excellent very late war scheme of dunkelgelb without side skirts and fenders, very nice!
Panzergrenadiers - very nice work on the camo, it portrays Oak B very well. My only critique is that SS helmet decals would have been very rare at this time in the war, as an order of late 1943 (I forget the month) stated that the application of SS helmet decals was to cease immediately.
Do you have a reference for the Panzer IV? It appear to be an Ausf F2 which would have been very very rare at this stage in the war, and the black camo seems a little odd.
Apart from the above these models are really nicely painted and from the photos, look good on the table
Edit: And in case anyone was wondering, I'm a WW2 reenactor www.derfuhrer.co.uk

One tiny thing - the bases look a bit technicolour. Am I missing something, or are the different squads based differently?
I love the pseudo-dead-leaf effect. Definitely digging that.
