I wonder how a tooled up Marine Command squad - on bikes - with LC/PF's, flamers, and storm shields would fair - assuming they have a captain and a chaplain attached?

it all depends who gets the charge!
If the marines get the charge thats +1 attack each.
If Orks get to charge thats the end of that! so many attacks means that all those 4+ saves wont help much!

Hahah, though it's already been mentioned, I'd just say take a Double Lash list against them.
It will tear them apart if you play it right, as it will with anything else. Though I tend to be partial to Defilers with my Lash list, and I don't know how well this would fair.
I guess you could try your hand at fielding a Nurgle Biker army, and see how it does. It would, at the very least, be interesting. Either that, or bring plenty of Terrain that the bikers can't possibly reach.

Nobz Bikers are hard to avoid. They will reach the enemy front ranks at turn 2.
However, if the Ork army contains no fast units bar the Nobz Bikers, then there is a chance to take them down by concentrated fire.
Maybe so, but this topic still belongs in tactical discussions!

As I've said numerous times, you have to be able to do at least two of three things to reliably take down Nob Bikers quickly: #1 - Negate their FNP save. #2 - Negate their cover save. #3 - Inflict Instant Death (have S8+ weaponry)

Make it khan for furious charge. It stands a decent shot, and seeing as how the nobs have to fly straight into your lines to make themselves useful in a game, you stand a decent shot at being able to countercharge the nobs with the command bikes. khan adds furious charge and the chance for instant death with his powerweapon attacks. Overall, however, this squad is nearly as costly as the nobs in the first place, and both units will likely mutually destroy each other.

A Seer Council has a good chance vs. Nobz Bikers.
The Seers will hit first, they hit on 3+ with enhance (unless the Nobz have some upgrades so that they get WS 5) and wound on 2+ (whether or not the Nobz have increased toughness by being mounted on bikes). Moreover, there is no benefit to take power claws instead of big sluggas, both wound on 2+.
Thus a Seer Council negates some of the Nobz Bikers advantages.

Absolutely.
The next Ork Codex will eventually provide some changes to Nobz Biker mobz.
I could think of restricting the size of those mobz to 5 or 6 members.

Most important is #3 by far. While #1 or #2 is very helpful it is hard to inflict alot of wounds in these manners(and the boss will generally be taking one per salvo). The problem #1 has is due to low rate of fire for AP 1 or 2 guns you still won't be doing much damage. Since it is easy for the bike squad to spread out and they are T5 templates or special anti-cover weapons won't inflict many wounds either.
It is rare to be able to combine 1 and 2 if anyone can do it. And even #2 really needs something like Doom or Vulkan to get going. However you never have to combine anything with #3, it already ignores #1 and #2 if in HtH. Basically if you want to be a big favorite over Bikers play with alot of HtH instant death. Or Lash.

If I invested half the points in pathfinder rangers, than an entire ork-nobz biker squad.. They get 3+/4+ cover saves.. Im not amazingly fussed. They would loose a good couple of wounds per turn from the squads. Thats also a good couple of pinning tests. They cant charge me (assuming theres multi-level flooring) and I can place myself where I want, within any range really (they can deploy out of TLOS and scout move without diff terain tests into position).
40pts a wound, in the long run. If you only ever deal 9 wounds then your deadifyed but after that its all gold.
When I roll to hit, 5-6 = ap 1. When I roll to wound, 6's = ap 2. Thats enough ap1-2 chances for me.
I may actually try and paint 'Big stick' on my rangers rifles.. really really tiny like.

Well, it depends. If you play another top tier list, then they are not.

A squad of banshees with Yriel in there will put a hurting on them. For best results put doom on the bikers.
Either that or a squad of harlies with fortune should be able to do it.

No, not really. Banshees will wound the Nobz on 6+.
Yriel with his eye of wrath will inflict some wounds but the Nobz have 2 wounds and possibly an invulnerable save.
Doom helps here a bit but the Nobz are too tough.
Harlies also have a bad match-up.
