It may be more practical to mount it on the wall, more accessible. It would also be excellent to convert Warhammer 40,000 to 15mm scale.

And play with REAL WWII minis? And add more tactical options to the rules? And remove some of the silly HtH weapons like chainswords? Oh wait, I think there's already a game like that, Flames of War!

In all seriousness, while 15 mm is fun, it's much harder to paint the models with the level of detail that I regularly see in the P&M forum.

I think we should expand this idea. The ONLY way to play warhammer is with twenty assistants, in full 30s RAF uniform, pushing around your models for you. The two commanders stand on a gallery at the side and point at big maps with sticks. This is the only real way to play a wargame...

Hopefully the assistants are all cute! OTOH, if things REALLY worked like that, my gf would probably not allow me to play.

Putting the board on the wall or ceiling would be interesting when checking for TLOS.

I would SO make you check it. LOL

What my group does is take our 2 4x6 tables and push them together so that we have a 4x12 table. Works for us.

There is only one problem with mounting the table on the ceiling or wall. I don't think I want to hang my titan, thunder hawk, a'ngaroth or any super heavy there

If it's a REAL gaming group, that may be hard to find.

An ultra-easy solution is to just outline a huge section of the floor and play on that. If you have the room for tables to play Apoc on, you have the floor space to do it. Just take off your shoes and watch where you step. Playing on a floor like this has two good effects:
1) Plenty of room to play Apoc the way it was meant to be played
2) May make those stinky gamers take a damned shower since they have to take their shoes off to play.
