well.. if we base this more off of player representation, then i think its a toss up between marines (of both sides) and orks.. i think itd be a close 3rd for either nids or guard (i cant really figure who has more players between the 2 races)

Orks hands down. they outnumber EVERYONE by a huge amount, shoot its not even a guessable number really. Also when they are head butting the nids, Orks grow bigger and stronger with every battle. Now imagine the nids fighting ALL the Orks in the entire Universe, after 1000 years they would all be the size and strength of Thraka. No way the Orkses would loose

Nope... sorry guys. Necrons

Orks were created to wipe out the Necrotyr. They did a decent job of wiping out the living necrotyr now would not be able to take out the Necrons.

The Imperium stands no chance Eldar are 3/4 dead already... no one else matters really.

Tyranid fleets would instinctivelt ignore Necron fleets as there is no living material / DNA to comsume. And once the Tomb shipe are close enough - Poof - dead bug fleet.

Just remember every ork soul (or warp spark as we call them) is more power for the C'tan.

Necrons win.

C'Tan don't get more powerful from eating souls.

They're not warp gods.

They just like eating people. It makes them feel big.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

if there was a epic battle that big the chaos gods, khorne and nurgle would profit from it immensly. considering there gods of blood and death, plus the warp can never be destroyed. tyranids have no hope against the waves of daemons from the depths of hell

Spacemarine and Imperium of Men would win no doubt.

and after the war is nearly over , Imperium will backstab all the xenos.

They SO WILL DO THAT!

No, after the Necrotyr (?SP) made the vessels for the C'Tan to inhabit they discovered consuming life is tastier than the star energy they were use to eating.

The first to get wiped out would be the Imperium. Eldar would run and eventually get caught, Orks would think it was the most funnest fight ever and eventually die, Tyranids would get confused and pissed that the Necrons aren't eatable. They would survive in whatever other galaxy they live in but not this one anymore... the galaxy would eventually be dead. No life, no stars left... just a few rocks orbiting each other.

Twinkies are tastier than carrots.

They do not make you more powerful.

The C'Tan did get stronger from eating other C'Tan, as other C'Tan are energy beings as well.

Humans do not have that much energy.

Remember, the C'Tan do not exist within the warp, they seek to seal the warp off from the material universe.

Of some relevance:

Should the Orks ever truly unify, they would crush all opposition and drown the civilised races in a tide of gore. - Codex: Orks

Millennia ago, a probe was sent out from Terra. Its mission was to reach the utmost limits of the universe. The Techpriests who built it hoped that one day it would arrive back to its place of origin having circumnavigated the universe, or in other words, skirted the edge of reality. This probe is still sending back signals after fourteen thousand years adrift. The signals are faint and the probe is not yet on its way back, if it ever will come back. To the utter despair of the Imperial Techpriests who constantly monitor the incoming signals, many are identified as Orkish. The depressing conclusion for mankind can only be this: that wherever they go, the Orks will always be with them.

Orks were created to win the war against the Necrotyr. Which they did, then devolved. Once you have an ork infestation as long as there is live on the planet you will never be rid of the orks.

But, there are two races that either destroy or consume all life - Tyranids and Necrons.

-- And a C'Tan on a sugar rush from a few twinkies is plenty to take out a planet or two until he gets the munchies again

I dunno...

Daemons of Chaos
Because, they are not killed, merely banished back to the warp, so they will never be truly defeated, Plus the gods can create legions of lesser daemons on pure whim

Although, when the end has come, and all the armies of all the other races lie strewn across a corpse choked galaxy, only the Pan Fo will remain...

Tyranids may be able to devour their own dead but the energy a hive fleet uses each time it attacks a world and generates new life is noted in the fluff as massive, the Eldar have been attacking worlds around the central point of tyranid v ork conflict to deny the tyranids food. If a war gets too protracted they would start to burn out, not to mention the most energy expensive life they make would be the highest ranking synapse creatures, so with tyranids, you get a cascade failure.

Orks are stupidly energy efficient, they are substantially powered by the algae in their system (much like many forms of coral), conflict actually stimulates their growth and power. Their power is in the simplicity of their design, they infest the galaxy from end to end. Unite the Orks and nothing is going to stop them.

Necrons are too few, reliant on tombworlds, many forever trapped on routine programming that causes their behaviour to repeat to the extent that some nearby civilisations are using them as target practice, time has not been kind to the necrons.

So, the future's bright, the future's green...

Also, yes, the nids would lose energy with every respawning.

Same reason you couldn't have an ecosystem of all carnivores; energy is lost in the growing an moving.

Of course, the nids still have a lot of energy to spare, so they wouldn't go down easy.

C'tan would win. the 3 C'tan that rule the necrons, and the one that is actually the hive mind. Chaos would lose because while nurgle and Khorne would initially gain strenght from the war, as there followers died out all the chaos gods would lose power until they died (remember the chaos gods are not Gods persay, but more beings brought into existance by the thoughts of warp sensitive creatures) therefore as these creatures die, Humans and Eldar, then the chaos powers become weaker. If you read Legion it is explained that if Horus had won then the galaxy would have suffered for a few thousand years before Humanity turned on itself, wiped itself out and therefore effectivly wiped out chaos.

Orks, yes are powerfull, yes are numerous, and yes where created by the old ones to act as foot soldirs against the Necrons, but they where just the foot soldirs, and no longer have the generals to command them, unlike the necrons who have 3 beings as old as the universe, been there seen it, got the t shirt, to lead them, and oce the dragon is freed who knows what nasty little surprises he will help the necrons create (not to forget he will bring at least half of the adeptus mecahnicus with him, cos they will worship him as the machine god). So now you have Necrons, with titans and super heavy tankls as well as whatever the dragon has thought up in all his years being trappped (dont tell me he hasnt spent at least a bit of time planning the biggest gun the galaxy has ever seen). With mars as a base of operations (bye bye earth). So the marines and imperium have to rush earthwards to protect the emperor leaving them open to attack from the other races, meaning that as they try and defend on all fronts (cos you know chaos will take advantage and abbadon will lead a crusade) they will have to fail. and once the necrons take earth and kill the emperor, well then humanity falls into despair, opening the door to chaos, humanity turns on itself, (cos the chaos gods are not going to unite together for long are they, no they will fight among themselves as much as they fight the other races). The tau, well not established enough to survive, eldar, dying anyway,

The tyranids. Well like I said above the outsider is the hive mind isnt he . If he isnt then you get a war between nids and necrons. and as discussed the nids cant consume the necrons, so will just move on through the galaxy. The necrons go back to sleep, and the last of the old ones go back to the drawing board.

Probably not?

The warp is the anathema to the C'Tan, and the warp is where the Hive Mind lives.

It would be like one of those aliens from Signs being the Loch Ness Monster.

Take note: Nearly all of the races in 40k were originally created by the Old Ones to destroy the C'tan and the Necrontyr.

Not that it went exactly according to plan, but guess who's still around?

Now really, if a race with the power to create Orks, Eldar, and Humans think that Necrons are the greatest threat to the universe, then shouldn't we?

now chrysaor has a valid point the only runner ups are tyranid and orks de orksies can never be deafeated seriously you think necrons are going to burn theyre bodies to get rid of the spores and tyranids too would they do that nooooooo soon enough the tyranids would leave and the necrons would have a never ending war with the orks till the orks found away to kill necrons if theyre is a way

Meh...not necessarily.

I'd like to think that the more Orks they consume, the more genetic material they have at their disposal, and the closer they come to becoming synthesized. Since eventually, the only genetic material they would have to consume would be Orks, I think they'd come closer and closer to becoming similar the more they have to feed on Orks.

As it stands, Biovores are a fairly rare breed of Tyranid, and they're based off of Ork DNA.
