I don't care how bad people think dire avengers are, it would take concentrated effort to make a model worse than Nagash, Clown Prince Of The Undead.

Again, I point you to the Treebeard model in my previous post, which IS a GW model, as well as the aforementiond 2nd Ed Blood Bowl Treemen.

For comparison:

Nagash is a much better model than all of those.

Who sculpted those treemen? He should be immediately fired for lack of skill.

The eye of terror.

While I think that the Dire Avenger sculpts are competent, if nothing special, I used the helmetless head on a storm-guardian conversion... and it's frikkin' HUGE! Seriously, my storm guardian looks like hydrocephalic monkey now.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

Worst model range ever... the Chaos Dwarves:

Horrible, horrible. I have some of the original chaos D's and they were great - then they brought out this enlightened view of CDs!

I personally like the DAs.

To clarify, I'm not saying that the models aren't well sculpted and look cool, I'm saying that they are stupid to put together and don't fit together all that well. There butt sashes don't mate correctly to the legs and the torsos don't fit well in the leg socket. Also, their longer shuri-cats and more gubbins on their arms makes their poses quite limited. Their heads also interfere with their backpack targeters.

This is all very odd because the guardian models fit together very well even though the legs are two separate pieces.

I'm pretty sure the Chaos Dwarves are among the most amazing models GW has ever put out. Huge hats + Short people for the win. Honestly, having seen some CD armies in my day, they are beautiful and really have a nice Babylonian feel to them. I would like to see the Chaos Dwarves released in line with their old sylings and themes. Damn I love those models.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.
