Just like the title says. These are based on the guardian sculpts, and they fix one niggling problem that the guardians always had, which was their legs being two separate peices. Well, with the dire avengers, you don't have to put there legs together, but you have to glue their @sses on??? Are you serious? And they have @ass sashes? Who the hell designed these things?

Their torso's also don't fit very well mated to the legs, and the two I've put together so far appear to have scoliosis or muscular dystrophy. Anybody else frustrated about Dire Avengers?

I think the Avengers are just fine, there are other models who are worse.
The old hybrid Devastators for example, so glad that they made new ones.
Just like Enmitee said, you probably got a bad batch... Just don't give up

I hate the hair plumes a lot. And the fact that the exarch has an option of being basically helmetless...but with a ugly plume.

Everyone knows that exarch are mere shells of eldar. Their suits filled with dust. But now, they are suits filled with dust and it includes an inflatable eldar head.

Really, I dont have any problems with the kit. its nice to have more plastic to attempt to kitbash eldar with. The exarch bits make nice touches for jetlocks.

That and Whitedragon is a big, fat dummy-head.

By the way, I think @$$ $@$H3$ should be part of your KKT somehow...

On moon miranda.

The models look great, but *way* too many pieces. The frustration of putting them together is the primary reason my Eldar aren't entirely fieldable yet.

TC has obviously never seen a Dark Eldar.

It's a shame though, the DE art looks incredible, and yet they have the worst models in the entire GW range.

In the ring! Oh Yeah!

Oh, the Macho man has gotta disagree with you there, Pale Gigantic Lizard-type monster! The Avengers are downright powerful sculpts, well designed, yes, well designed.

The Macho Man does agree that the Exartch head seems a little on the odd side, with a plumey feather hat and no face-mask... That is also the very weird part of the mask-less Exarch - from what the Macho Man knows, the exarchs don their helmets like Macho Man dons his glasses and become the ultimate fighting machine, putting aside what remains of their non-wrestlin' self and becoming only the Macho Man... or in this case, an Exarch, oh yeah...

The other major fantastic part of this aforementioned kit is that the Exarch can be made into quite the macho-looking Autarch with only a bit of bashin' about!

So snap into THAT, Mister Pale Lizard!

Oh yeah!

I had trouble with my Dire Avegers too. I found that the helmet plumes got in the way of shoulder targeters if I modelled a head looking to the right.

And one of the leg poses makes the model look like he's about to fall over.

I have no problem with the bum sashes though...

I'll put a vote in for the previous Ogryns as the stupidest models ever.

And no, that's not intended to be a pun. Some of the worse sculpts I've ever seen.

Seconded for truthfulness. Those little blades you're supposed to put all over the plastic Dark Eldar Warriors are so crappy I didn't even put them in my bitz box, I just threw them out.

I'd argue Plastic Catachans are at least as stupid as Dark Eldar. And Mike McVey's Lemartes is the worst metal 40K model.

Nagash being GW's worst model ever, of course.

When DEldar came out, that was before they redone the plastic eldar guardians.

I cut off all the spiky bits and used them as Guardians.

what was i thinking... oh well better then the squid face.

I'm most certainly not a "Dummy Head" sir!

And the sculpts are nice, they just don't seem to fit together as well as the guardians do. The longer shuri-cats and arm cables get in the way more and make posing difficult.

As someone else pointed out, the legs are attrocious, the "bum" sashes don't mate up to the legs all that well, and the ball and socket torso/legs combo is just aweful.

The part about the heads and the back targeters is valid as well. I'm seriously considering using regular "guardian" legs for my aspect warriors. Ick.

The hat is awesomely huge, but can you really call Balderdash on the claim that GW's worst model looks like this?

Especially when the army book for the edition he appeared in had this art for 'Nagash, Lord of Undeath'

Yes.

Nagash is far from their worst model.

Isn't their some story behind why the Nagash model is so bad? Something like the sculptor being overworked and he did that abomination as a joke but it ended up being ok'ed anyway?

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

I thought that strange, too...having to glue their asses on.

I, for one, am glad for the sashes, though. Have you seen the Dark Eldar warriors? They kinda need them.

because your putting the ammo, grenades, and cloth on their waists.

after you put togethor any metal model then build a dire avengar it'll change it.

this isn't the worst model ever, just get some practice in. and build an avatar and say a dire avengar is the worst model...

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

The only thing I found frustrating was lining up the guns with the supporting arms on those ball-joints. I didn't bother with the extra ammunition/accesory bits, and only used the proper crested heads on 9 out of 30 of them.

Actually i agree it been a pain to put Eldar together.

Its mainly the pieces not been plastic glue friendly
the capillary thing always make the glue run all
over the place for mine , was a nightmare.

I had most trouble with the 2 leg halves , and the
shuriken catulpults. I havnt even glue on the back pieces
either, glue always end up all over them -_-
