The first models I admit are a bit cack due to some benig undercoated in black, however, the latest tactical squad and assault marines are much better

I've swapped some marine models around from my other marine army, so, all marine's are the full normal marines, not AOBR ones . I now have one razorback and 10 marines to strip so I can paint them and have all the troops fully painted.

I've also taken my converted Sternguard from my old marine army and put it into the Fists. I need to strip them though and get them painted.

Finally I've started to build a land raider terminus. I have the lascannon turret from a old razorback, it needs stripping down though. I also need the parts of the sponsons, the parts which the lascannons hang from and the backing too which sits in the door way - if you have any spare please contact me!

Also thinking of picking up one of those fancy Ironclads as well, not sure yet though

Managed to get in gear and get photos finally of the latest stuff I've done. Not having my phone to take pictures hasn't helped either.

The army is nearly complete now, I still need to do some stripping down on one razorback, one tact squad and a few homemade sternguard and the army is done.

This razorback is for the last tact squad to be painted. Its not in the best painted condition as a. it was my first tank and b. partly made itno a ork looted wagon and back to a razorback again, this time with heavy bolters, it previously has lascannons. It will be stripped soon.



This is the former tact squad from the blood angels which will be stripped soon.



This if my first Fist Land Raider, I will have three in total, including the Ultra Terminus pattern I am making which is pictured below. Only thing I'm not happy with is the wash on the top hatch panel and on the roof - is there any to remove wash and repaint it? Also any better way to make the way look better on large flat surface, though I have a new brush which will help.





Here's the two razorbacks I've been working on. The first one, is the one with the marine on top, it needs the washing tidying up and paint damage like the second. A few touches will sort it though.







This is the sternguard unit which is WIP. Some are stripped, others need doing. The units rhino I have painted yellow last night.





Lastly this is the start of a land raider terminus ultra. I'm just waiting for the other sponsons to arrive, I have the twin linked turret, it needs stripping down as was from the old razorback at the top of the page.

Finished the two Ironclad Dreadnoughts one is actually a AOBR Dreadnought. I based them as well last night after I took the photos as I had some time spare, though the actual Ironclad itself will need sorting as the sand doesn't look right on the base.

You know that it might be better getting the resin doors IA-ISM-A-007 for the LR, IA-ISM-A-015 for the Rhino, IA-ISM-I-003 for the Terminators and the metal shoulder pads from GW?

The stuff is built and getting those doors off a Land Raider are a nightmare. If I hadn't built them already I probably would have. Though, those doors I think are from FW not GW

One pet hate of mine is Transfers wish they did some resin for my IW termies.

I totally agree. I have a large box filled iwht Imperial Fists and some of the transfers have come off or been damaged.

I want to put the metal shoulder pads on my fists too but don't have $100 sitting around so one squad at a time.

They dont do Scythes pads so im getting a press to make the crossed scythes.

Last Razorback painted and majority of a tactical squad, got to to the rest as I need to glue them back together.







Start of my last of the four Dreadnoughts, painted it yellow last night and put the decals on the Marines.

Need a bit more glue on the Assault cannon

Yeah I just noticed that. I got it from e-bay £12.50 already built so can blame the other guy . Will definately glue it before finish painting, thanks for pointing that out 8)

The yellow looks good!

Venerable dread could use some additional contrast in the hull. Currently it is painted in so light tones it is difficult to see the details and there is no focal point in it. Some details picked in black or very dark metal might do the trick.

Great models otherwise.

Its always great to see some Imperial Fists. Good job representing.

On the venerable it looks like the decorations/extra armour on the shins and either side of the sarcophagus is unprimed plastic, but I thought the venerable was an all metal model. so did you paint them grey?

maybe a more stark white/black might make them stand out a bit more and add contrast.

but great models, it'd be great to see a 'family portrait'!

I have given that some thought as the gold doesn't sound out well. Perhaps a mithril silver?

It is codex grey which is recommended on the box, perhaps if I used badab black wash it might stand out more?

I'll get one up soon, I've got a few more units to finish

Yea looks like theres a lot of paint on there. Looking good tho! Nice to see such a large army all getting painted. All my armys are in painting progress and less that 50% complete at most. Im gonna get cracking on my Crimson Fists tonight. Might start one of these little things like you did to 'egg' myself on! lol

I like highlights on the edges. picks out the shapes from the general 'blur' even at a distance. Try that seeing as you have basically done everything else.

Looks like lots more than 2000pts. Not a very experienced SM player myself so im not sure of the in's and out's of things but surely 2 land raiders and 3 terminator squads are 1100 on their own?

The bigger the better I suppose!

I'm not really into highlights tbh, I haven't got the patience for it. I just prefer to paint and then wash to give a bit of a grundgy look.

The army is a lot more than 2,000 points, probably close to 3,500 I'd say. In my profile I've got the count as 3,365 but I've added more since then. Could be nearly 4,000!

Been doing some work over the weekend on team yellow. Land raider crusader is now washed and all decaled up, I like this one. And the last models are all undercoated white ready to be done over the week, there is 5 home-made sternguard, 5 aobr terminators and a full tactical squad.

I've got a crack on recently and got the last tactical squad finished. All I need to do now is finish off the last dreadnought and base the entire army, oh I've got a few touch ups and changes to do but only minor.

btw - I've noticed a few mistakes in the photos, will touch them up

Based the Imperial Fists last night. I've selected some random few and going to put a little bit of green flock on the brown sand bases too. Will be all finished tonight.

I got a army shot, sorry its poor but the lighting in my room isn't good so I have to wait until natural day light, which is weekends only.

Look nice, perhaps some squad picts would be nice.
