Misaligned weapon handles make Khorne cry! =p

Great looking Bloodletters! You've done a good job integrating 40k weapons into the 'letters without making it look forced or awkward.

Cool idea with the Plasma Pistol, though I gotta second the misaligned power axe on that Bloodletter.

So I am planning to use the Ultraforge ward daemon for a new Bloodthirster... The old one is painted and ready to play but it just looks so meh now compared to what is out there now like the red hot ward daemon. I have my last squad of Bloodletters left to assemble along with seven more crushers. For the last squad of letters I want to go with a cybernetic daemonic look... any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Ultraforge is very nice, just too bad its not legal. Id find every excuse to put one in an army. With the new bird demon I would even look into making thousand sons.

Arcoflagellants or sisters repentia painted with red skin would be cool.

I love the poses. I must say though... That bloodthirster looks like it weighs a ton! Good paintjob though.

You can use UF for the indy GTs and I already have a GW BT so no big deal.

So how about some ideas for cybnerizing my last squad of letters? I know there are some creative people here.

Can't really see what's happening on it's back (looks like wires and stuff) but you could maybe link it up to the torso and/or head, depending on how "cyber" you want to go for. But me likey!

Digging the army so far GBF, nice to see some bloodletter reposes and wild-n-whacky conversions. Fan of all the plasma going down

I like the first cyberletter, interesting with the legs swapped out. I think that's a good idea to run with, switching parts out with 'crons, and then there are always exposed power plants on backs, beweaponed extremities (implant chainsaw, implant minigun, pneumatic crushing claws), mechadendrites, whatev. I wonder if the guitar string on this dude are in fact too nicely integrated, flush with his skin like that, instead of looping around madly?

Cool project though. I didn't say it in the other thread, but Demon World is probably my favorite 40k novel, and I've now made 2 armies based on it (bloodletter horde, violators chaos marines (BFG)) ...

I love the plasma pistol for the bloodthirster! I've always wanted to 40k up my demons since I only use them in 40k, and that looks perfect! Plus, the deathstrike really is a plasma pistol now!

Most people seem to not know about death strike which as you say is definitely the equivalent of a plasma weapon. I think if I am going to integrate battle damage ala Terminator style I will have to break out the putty. I will do that after the last 12 Bloodletters are finished to save some time. It will also help with the cabling where they poke through the daemonic flesh.

The one thing I am unhappy with are the feet... from now on I will just the hooves that come with the model kit and sculpt onto them to make them look more cybernetic.

The feet look great- especially on the last one. This has got me thinking of starting up the nurgle army that Ive always wanted. Cybernetics combined with rotting parts- though i want go with a more steampunk-esque feel to my cybernetics. Clockwork under the skin and huge wooden barrel back packs bellowing out smoke.
I have some where some of the lego pipes saved up (been hanging on to them for several years now!) to use for this very thing-if you can get hold of any at a second hand store or a cheap toy place they will work well for cybernectics, nothing wrong with the guitar strings, but the lego is plastic so it makes for less shaping.
(i try to avoid using guitar strings for anything other then my guitars these days after one modeling crisis and one ratehr nasty accident with the stuff!)

im not too keen on all the guns in an army, the cybernetics i like, no one can argue against those not working [ref: juggers]

but the guns i just dont think fit well atall, death strike is usually shown by a whip [ref: thirsters]
or a similar thing.

JD you should read the short story I am writing in Dakka Fiction forum entitled Phoenix Rising... it develops the army background.

i have read it mate, well, ive read most of it so far.

khornate daemons are forged in the fiery depths of a khorne daemon world, they leave burning footprints where they walk.

in your story one keeps his head low because of a hot pipe.
if you spent most of your time walking around near / in lava i dont think a hot pipe would bother you.
daemons do not typically employ ranged weapons into thier units due to the fact that they prefer combat over shooting.
i can see why you have chosen plasma, allthough i just find it weird.
also, magnetized boots, another thing i find somewhat odd.
with huge razor sharp claws i dont think scaling walls would be a problem for them.

JD daemons' heads cannot phase through matter, hence why he had to duck. You will have to read the entire story to see why they carry firearms... sorry no spoilers here. Anyways thanks for other interesting opinions... if you could post them over in the Dakka Fiction forum that would be preferred so as not to sidetrack this thread. Thanks mate.
