My very first was a wfb skeleton. All I recall doing with it was painting it black, then mashing a large brush with white on it into the model untill it looked " good".


I'm pretty sure it got eaten by one of my Grandmas dogs, which is a pretty fitting end when you think about it.

Man, this thread made me realise I don't even still have the first mini I painted. I remember what it was though, a SM Assault squad member (the assault squad being the first squad I painted). I remember I used acryllic paints, and no base coat. The finished model had streaks of plastic showing throught it. It was awful at best. Actually my first army was so badly painted that I tossed it in a box to hid it, and now it can not be found.

Well, I was the same age I am now when I painted my first model. 6 months ago. It was about a month or two before my first game, actually. I'm 17, 18 in June.
