I really think that nintendo when starting with the Wii just started getting kinda old and boring. The only reason they're better than PS3 is the PS3s lack of games and the PS3s price tag. They stopped getting innovative save for the Wii controls. Even after a long time of waiting Super Smash Bros Brawl didn't get much better. My other rant on them is that they're trying literally too hard to please everyone and I mean EVERYONE. Seniors, Parents, Girls, Boys, Hardcore Gamers, Casual Gamers, Nerds, Geeks, Cool People, Historians, Scientists, Musicians, you name it and in the end not really pleasing some groups. Don't get me wrong Nintendo is great. I just prefer Microsoft and Sony over them. I hope I didn't offend anyone here.

Why haven't there been any newer mario games, or kirby games even. I think that with the wii nintendo said "screw mario fans, we'll just remake older mario games.". They recently released the old mario tennis and pikmin games, but with wii controls now. That is lame.

I only use my wii for Smash Bros, ghost squad, resident evil: Umbrella chronicles, and maybe the new house of the living dead game.

My thoughts on Nintendo? Well, i believe they are planning a new system ATM for the hardcore crowd, and there will be 3 new zelda titles on it when it comes out.

At least I hope :(

Wait for E3. That's when the big announcements are made.

Nintendo probably do have something in planning, all platform companies have to look 5 years ahead all the time. They won't release it until the Wii is getting played out.

OTOH Nintendo's current thinking is you don't need cutting edge graphics technology to make great games. You can make a good looking game with very cheap tech and make money on the hardware.

And I was completly satisfied with the graphics in Twillight Princess, Galaxy or Brawl. I just wish they would make more of these great games and not stuff like Wii Music...

I don't know it's a problem. SingStar is a huge success on PS and the other consoles have copied the idea. The same is happening with Buzz. It hasn't stopped the PS from having hardcore games too.

Yeah, I know it hasn't stopped the other consoles from having "hardcore" games. But appearantly Nintendo missed that message.

Well nintendo's crowd ranges from 3years to 99 years so the average attention span is well below the average hardcore gamer.

Hmm... is it difficult to tell objects apart in madworld? Besides blood, everything is black and white.

No, the looks are fine, but the camera isn't that good. I didn't have any problem finding stuff, just with finding where I need to go next.

But besides that, it's really cool. At least worth a rental.

IMO Nintendo did the smartest thing they could.

They made a system that emphasize on fun for the whole family , not focused purely on state of the art graphics and sound. ( For example X Box tried to do ... competing with PC's niche ) .

Yet, Microsoft is "winning" the console war in Japan and has an increased focus in console development(this in contrast to Sony's new move to drastically decrease console development and stick to their old standbys, TVs and movie media).

The "hardcore" systems aren't doing too hot now. If you think the Wii is going to kill gaming, you are silly.

I don't think the Wii is going to kill gaming. I'm only worried that Nintendo themselves stops making "real" games.

Im not saying they dont have ANY "hardcore" games but they are so few and far between. Also on the top of them adding one to their list, i have tried to play one of these games, and to be honest the controls and overall feel of it sucks bad, and the graphics are so backwards.

I tried the first one, but was bored pretty soon...

Nintendo should make another Zelda game. Twilight Princess was epic. DS Zelda not so much, it's really hard to take Toon Hyrule seriously.

Though it might get difficlult to out-epic Twilight Princess. It might have been too easy but those bos fights were pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

I really liked Phantom Hourglass. Sure, it was pretty easy, but it was really fun too. I would love more games like it for the DS.

Looking through my PSW Mag, the Wii makes up for 0.01% of internet surfing, PS3 makes up for 0.04% [im one of them using it now actually while downloading updates =P]. Computers make up for 88.4%.

PS3 beats the Wii in internet surfing 4 to 1 lol
