Bionicle looks a bit small to me.... but the Igus ones look interesting. I hope the Action Man works, would take a load of work off.

My comments are my own, and mine own alone. If you have any complaints, please report to Mr Spanky who will take them down for you.....

Been working on some plans and actually got some time to work on the Action Man last night.

As you can see I’ve cut in to the back of the left thigh, I’ve put in a plate and some cabling/piping, I’ve modified the remainder of the leg to represent a shaped metal plate with PVA rivets….. but to be honest, I’m not 100% sure.

The wife has suggested a better response… trim the back of the leg even further, up to the hip and down to the knee, put a skeletal internal structure, and “Fibre Bundles” between the skeleton and the inside of the front of the thigh…. I like it, but it means removing everything I’ve already done…

Thoughts?

Oh, and advice… don’t use the GW razor saw to cut brass pipe…. Mine is shredded and useless and needs to be replaced…. VERY disappointed, will not be buying a GW replacement, local modelling shop gets my business again.

I'd normally use a dremel with a cutting blade... but my mistke to try the GW tool, just not even VAGUALY sturdy enough, very shocked! Litteraly sheared the teeth clean off over half the blade! Terrible.

I use a pipe cutter when dealing with brass, the only GW tool I've liked is the clippers, and even then they were overpriced. I must have missed something, I didn't know you were planning on using doll legs, look a bit eldar with how they're slim and shaped.

Its an initial experiment, and there will be additional armour added in particular to the foot and lower leg. See the PDF drawiing in one of my earlier notes.

Saw this Knight on ebay, so the doll legs would be used only for the thigh?

Nice, pretty much, and the wonderfull Muscular Torso (much like a Hopolite Armour)

I like the "eldar-esc" Spindlyness, with some added armour!
