FYI, on Bartertown, if you get caught creating another account once you have already been banned, that account too will get banned.

The only drama is coming from people like you. I'm only letting people know what happened. I'm not making a big deal about it and as far as I'm concerned, it's over - no further action will be taken on my part.

What do I expect you to... what? I don't expect anything of you. But for people with the foresight to see where this was heading, it may be of some value to them to speak their mind about how they feel about it to the people in charge. That has happened and I am grateful.

I'm not upset because I was banned, I'm upset because I was silenced beforehand. The post I made informing everyone why I would probably be disappearing was deleted within minutes of my having posted it. As far as I can tell, there was NO reason it should have been deleted, and as far as I can tell, Lin agrees with me - he even instructed MM to put the post back where it was before it got removed but as of this writing, as far as I can tell that has not happened. I would hardly call making this post "throwing a fit" about anything.

I hope this clears things up a bit.

Also, in retrospect, I don't recall posting three topics saying I was getting banned. I recall posting the one mentioned above, then posting another after that was deleted asking why the above post had been removed. *shrugs*

It sounded like a combination of being upset at getting banned and upset with the staff members. It still comes off a bit like that, and the feeling it gives off is you see it as becoming a police state or something. Really though, nothing would have happened if you didn't go off on an Admin and a Watchmen like you did. I don't know why you got so upset with them outside of personal feelings you have with at least one of them. You could have just messaged someone else (ie. me) to see about getting your title fixed.

I'm just mystified why it happened the way it did. We'll miss you round there. Take care man.

No worries. I'd just had it with his crap. I lost my cool, I admit that. I knew what would happen, blah blah blah. There was a lot going on at the time that wasn't even mentioned (and won't be), but suffice to say, it did make me feel better to tell him how I felt. He knew exactly what he was doing and knew it would piss me off.

If you didn't intend to start cross-site rivalry, or to paint Btown management as bad guys, then there's no need to stir the pot with any post at all. You could have just taken your ban like a man.

As for the whole debacle, I think the thread is warranted. Where else was he supposed to tell his side of the story? What was he supposed to do, bend over like a dog and let people assume whatever they want in his absence of explanation, or let the other party tell their side unchecked?

Uh, one thing. Both sites aren't at all related ownership wise. The rest you are dead on about though

Also PanamaG: Sid mentioned that the primary site Admin was willing to let him come back to defend himself and/or discuss what happened , but at this point its too late to really bother with (I am paraphrasing from earlier in this thread, please correct me if you want/need to Sid.)

OK, I'm sorry that I got a bit overboard in my response, and I apologize to you for that.

That said, posts like yours aren't especially helpful to anyone on either site. Fundamentally, your post is an off-site complaint about the management of another site, looking for a sympathetic response. It is inherently unbalanced, as it is generally inappropriate for Btown management to to come here and discuss internal management politics off site. And there really is no good way to take sides one way or the other..

So that is why I don't think that you should have posted in the first place. The only people who can help you are Btown staff, and this isn't the forum for that.

I'm not asking for help, nor offering it.

I'm not asking for my ban to be reversed.

I'm not asking to be appeased, sympathized with, argued with, or anything else.

What I set out to accomplish has been accomplished, nothing more.

You may see it as a complaint, I see it as informing people of my situation. Of course it's opinionated, it's MY OPINION.

While I am free to post my story here, you are also free to come and tell me that making this post was wrong, and that Btown staff posting here is wrong, and that everyone else here having an opinion is wrong, which you are clearly exercising.

If you don't believe that this thread is warranted, I would suggest that you stop posting in it and let it sink to the bottom of the forum floor. As it stands, you are just keeping it alive.

Now if you'll excuse me, I believe we have nothing else to say to one another.
