I love the concept and execution so far is top notch.
Have you tried using greenstuff for finer details? It seems your sculpting has reached a stage where it needs more fine details to progress.

@corpsearefun: Well, my biggest problem with green stuff, as I love to work with it, is that it is too expensive like all GW products. I use cellulose clay, which can get an immense amount of detail, the only problem is being white, it is hard to photograph it properly to pick up that detail. THanks for the compliment though!

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Haha dang! ! remember those, I hated fighting them, absolute pain they were.

This modelling is superb all they need now is some paint and were done !

Question though, what will the gaunts be modelled from? Those spikey deamons ?

Regular spine fodder gaunts will be catachans made into doom zombies, not like reg zombies, basically people bleeding from eyes, nose and stuff, with weathering and minor damage to body and armor. Termagants WoN will be Spineys, aka imps, modeled from heavily converted new plastic bloodletters. They are in the mail, so soon enough I will have them.

Otherwise, I am still painting the Spidermind, he is a big model, so there is much to paint, pics probably in the next 2 weeks sometime, as I am going on a business trip for a week.

How did I not see this before, this is beautiful work Gameandwatch. Is that paper clay that your working with? Wow...I tried the stuff working on larger sculpts. It never crossed my mind to try it on miniatures. I could never get the stuff I tried smooth easily; it had this peach fuzz texture that you really had to burnish to get smooth.

Side note a light coat of gray primer would make the models easier to see, and photograph. You've got me thinking though, paper clays really lightweight so it would be ideal for flowing hair and cloth.

Best of luck man, these models are hot.

AHHAHA, thanks sersi, you've got amazing stuff so I take your input in high regards. Yes, paper clay works very well for small models when its not too wet, when its too wet you get that fuzz, paper towelling works pretty good.

The other nice thing about paper clay is that it generally likes to bond to itself, and if not, a little super glue does wonders!

Onto painting the cyberdemon!!
