Yes we do agree, and Even I say the Ninja Pirate Yarrrrrick is indeed worthy of a kick in the nuts, even if it is what is printed. I was just pointing out that one could claim that it was a slippery slope. I don't personally believe that.

As for tecticular damage vs the ability to bend rules over a log...

Don't give them the choice. People who try stuff like this aren't likely using them.

Ah but there begins the Slippery Slope. How can a Player who wants to play by the rules, no matter how annoying, arbitrary and odd they seem, be a Tool?

If that's so, am I also a Tool if I don't allow your Dark Angels or Black Templars to use the new Storm Shields or PotMS?
Am I a tool for asking you play Shrikes Ability correctly, in the absence of any real errata?
Am I a tool for saying "No, you cannot take a Single Squad in a Chimera Anymore in your Daemonhunters army" because Armoured Fist Squads no longer exist?

It's very clear cut that only a tool would try to teleport Yarrick. It has nothing to do with the storm shield debacle.

Well, if we are to say that Yarrick can NOT teleport, how far away can he be?

Just because anyone agrees with anyone, doesn't mean they are correct. Beware the thin line between what is "Correct" and what is "Popular."

Iron Will: If Yarrick loses his last Wound, do not remove him but instead place him on his side. At the start of the Imperial Guard's next turn, roll a D6. On a 3+ he staggers back to his feet with a single Wound, bloody but defiant. If Yarrick would be placed in base contact with an enemy place him so that he is more than 1" from any enemy models....

Note the usage of "more than 1" instead of "within 1". Yarrick can stand up and teleport anywhere on the board as long as he is "more than 1" away from any enemy model.

Note the usage of If Yarrick would be placed in base contact with an enemy. place him so that he is more than 1" from any enemy models.
This would instate that he could indeed teleport anywhere but only if he would be in base contact with an enemy model if he didn't, like if an enemy moved next to his body or if he was previously in an assault and because of his death it ended. If he get's shot down though then imho nothing would happen since he would not be placed in base contact with an enemy.

EDIT: I would never do this though and would never allow my opponent to either and if he continued to try to do this then I would probably not play him again.
