im sorry but i hate it for 3 reasons:
1. Your fluff doesnt even make sense, its just a ripoff of halo while using a few 40k names.
2. The Bargeshi are isolated to one system by the imperium and are hyperviolent killing machines, how could they concieve the concept of an allience?
and 3. your models are freaking orks with a few headswaps and a different colour!

The painting skill is very good here. Especially on the nobs. The heavy use of washes has helped to tone down the almost-neon colors.

However, I just do not think that the Barghesi would emulate the Orks so much. Since they were confined to the Grendl stars, and are likely to be constantly monitored by the Iron Lords, the Ordo Xenos, and various Imperial Guard regiments, in order to keep them from being absorbed by the Tyranids, they would probably not encounter the Orks very often. But it is not impossible.

Mainly, they just look too Orkish to me. As if a crowd of Orks got possessed by Daemons. If there were some way you could remove the Ork-specific glyphs, you could keep the primitive, cobbled-together look. You could even use some of the Fantasy Orcs as a base.

My Forces:
DA Consecrators- 2000 points' worth, currently shelved

Imperial Guard - about 2000 points' worth, soon to be expanded

Christmas Orks - 1750 points' worth

I really like the conversion work their, It's cool and original.

I only have one real question, and that is where did you get all the identical spawn heads from??? Ebay? or just a whole lote of box sets?

Hate is a pretty strong feeling for little plastic men and few lines on a internet forum.
1)Yes it is just a rip off of HALO with a few names stolen for 40k fluff, but i did say that on my first post.
2) Yeah i know the fluff, maybe they are just hyperviolent killing machines that are now the slaves of the Khrave....
3) You noticed that too huh?

How's you Zork army coming along?

Thanks about the painting, I do not consider myself a highly skilled painter, I rarely blend colours, or even highlight. But I'm neat and the wash does all the hard work.

Regarding the fluff, I know this is a Ork forum so I should expect some flak, but this is a painting and converting project first and foremost. Thats what i love to do. The fluff is fun and is not meant to step on the toes of whats already been established in the books. I don't tell the people i play against the entire history of each race in my army before a game, most people just ask "what are they?", i reply "they count as Orks in the game, consider them as chaos aliens", they often just say "cool".

Thanks, to answer your question i did start buying boxsets of chaos possessed marines (you get one head per box) i bought 8. Then i started using ebay and bitz sites till i had enough. It was not cheap. They cost about £1 (some times more, sometimes less). The whole army is converted which nowdays is not cheap at all, the barghesi (90 strong) cost around £220 to make and the Khrave cost around £150 (inc the cost of assault on black reach for the warboss and deffkoptas and nobz) for 34. And i have a stopma, battlewagon and a leman russ. So thats a total of around £500 for 3000pts.

Thanks for all the other nice coments.

First i would like to apologise to the OP for my over the top responce, it was completely unnessicary and quite rude.
But to reply to your question i am skint thus have no money for plastic glue or GS (something i should have thought of before i bought the models i required...) and as well as this the one model that i actually have started is annoyingly WIP both for the above reasons and because i cant take decent photographs due to a lack of a suitible camera in order to get opinions of the "nekromanca" on the zombie nobs back.

I'm a little stuck on what to do next with this army.
I think i will add two more deffkoptas and 7 more nobs (as i still have 7 of the possessed head with 3 eyes, i have'nt used yet) and
a wierdboy (cos i want to a alien sitting on a floating throne) but i think that will be it.
Anyway that might be a while since i don't get paid for 5 more weeks ;(

Boomer.

Reallyyy amazing color scheme. It stands out so well, and the conversions are really nice.

What colors are you using for the skin, leather, and metal?

Because they go very well together.

Thank you, to answer your question, the metal is chainmail, then a black wash, then delvan mud wash. Then i paint boltgun metal
on the edges. Leather is foundation calthan brown , delvan mud wash, the blue skin is hawk turquoise and black wash, the pink skin is liche purple
and black wash, the yellow skin is foundation lyanden dark sun, golden yellow, orgyn flesh wash, the orange skin is foundation macharius solar orange,
delvan mud wash. All weathering is just dryed brushed in this order, scorched brown, vermin brown, koamando khaki then a delvan mud wash.
The khaves eyes are badmoon yellow which is no longer on sale.

Thanks for everyones comments. It helps inspire me to carry on with this stuff. Tho i think it's time i had a break form painting pink and blue aliens.
This army has been fun to collect and paint and it got lots of admiring looks when i took it to warhammer world, sadly i didn't get offer a job to make 'codex xenos'

I would wholeheartly recommend to anyone thinking about doing your own xeno army to have a go.

Your army, sir ,is an inspiration. It's funny that a "count as" Ork force has made me wanna do my Orks right.
Now I just need to rob a bank to be able to afford it all.
In the enormous 40K universe, created by a company that struggles to keep its own fluff straight (I still haven't gotten over the fact that Ork blood is supposed to be red now....) you can go nuts. SO do it. Unashamedly stealing fluff is no problem at all.

Keep it coming.

Awesome conversions. But something tells me that the heads on the Bargheshi are too small. I love your grots though.

Thanks i love the grots too! I get what your saying about the Barghesi, i guess you could just say that they don't need a big head to fit a tiny brain as you dont need the smarts to be hyper viloent!

Thanks, i guess i could of done more with the Khrave (the pink ones) but i love the Nob models and getting as many of the 3 eyed heads has been a crusade all on it's own. You only get one of the heads in every box of possessed chaos marines. I hunted world wide for 50 of them!
