Lulz, last term we just played Carbon on my teacher's Xbocks.

My list would be:
Prototype
Sims 3 (It's a girlie game, yea I know)
Overlord 2 (It's a kid's game, yea I know)
Brutal Legend

I mean, I've been a fan of Valve for a while but now they're games and ideas are becoming more and more ridiculous (e.g. No Episode 3, Jarate, L4D 2, hats in TF2 etc).

I wouldn't call the Sims a girls game.

There's quite a few games I'm interested in (all for 360).

- Modern Warfare 2.
- Blood Bowl.
- Red Faction Guerilla (I know it's already out, but I can't get it until end of the month).
- Ghostbusters.
- Aliens Vs Predator 3 (provided they keep to the deadline for end of year and don't let it slip like Colonial Marines did - but I aint got my hopes up).
- Space Marine.
- Prototype (although I've heard some lackluster reviews about it).
- Dead Rising 2.
- Arkham Asylum.

Edit: Oooh, add Left 4 Dead 2 to that list! Never knew that would hit the shelves this year.

Despite the length of my list I doubt I'll get round to playing more then two or three of them. I would have included Mass Effect 2 in the list, but I read in a 360 mag that it is scheduled for release in Q1 of 2010 so wouldn't count for the thread topic.

Quite close to being brougjht out but still a definet for me is Prototype and im not even getting it

Max Payne 3 does it for me, plus mass effect 2 and l4d2 even thpugh its an evil cash grab

The Duke Nukem series has indeed been anounced as cancelled (anyone with Xbox live can see the clip about it in the OXM report in spotlight), but it may not be forever dead as 3D Realms still exist as a company and they still own Duke's rights. There are rumours that they may lease out the rights to other developers if they show interest.

Max Payne aint dead yet though. Max Payne 3 is en route to the 360 (prob PS3 as well, but I only get 360 magazines so can't comment for definate) so expect more slo-mo action coupled with a more gut wrenchingly depressing plot then the previous two.

Max Payne is still around, but the setting and, well, character are drastically different. Max looks to be about fifty, with a greying beard and bald head, while the entire game takes place in South America. They'll definitely make use of the incredible Euphoria engine to power the animations, and they've even done scans of people in Brazil to make the models that much more authentic. I, for one, can't wait, but that won't be until 2010.

A few more games I'd like to add to the list: Tekken 6 (For PSP, seeing as how I can choose between that and a 360), Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny for PSP (With Kratos as a confirmed 'Console Specific Character', which just seems to be the trend with SoulCalibur these days. Even so, that's friggin awesome), Gran Turismo for PSP, and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for PSP (Though I'm not keeping my fingers crossed on this one). Add on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Final Fantasy Agito XIII, And Little Big Planet for PSP in 2010, and I'm starting to remember why I bought one in the first place.

I'm looking forward to Army of two: The 40th day... actually the only game I'm hyped about right now, since I was very disappointed by SH5 and RE5, which also were some games that got me all excited while they were yet in production...
