The DE battleforce is a good deal, the only thing it lacks are 3 blasters (2 for the bikes and 1 for the raider squad) 2 Dark lances for the remaning squad and an Archon.

You can figure they will keep Wych, Warrior, Raiders, and jetbikes as army choices. They may not look as nice as the "newer" ones we'll eventually see, but besides the DE getting eaten by Tyranids you could assume getting ahold of these models will not hurt you when the new codex comes out.

Dark Eldar's codex won't be out for a while. There is so much to do I understand why it's taking so long. They are pretty much creating an army from almost nothing. What do they have to go off of the old codex? Well, skimmers, warriors, and witches. Oh yeah they are emo. That's about it. They have to re-think how they work, what their place is, how they won't be like eldar painted black, how they can be effective in multiple ways and they have to make and get into production all of the newly sculpted models. If I were you, to play DE effectivly you HAVE to play a webway army. The thing is though that this army is scarily effective. Get a mix of witches and warrior sniper squads in raiders (they are ALL in raiders! PERIOD) no scourges, jetbikes, or helions. Talos are OK but Ravengers are better. Run them with the 3x Plasma Cannon things and leave the anti-tank to your sniping dark lance warriors. Make sure to get some Terrorfexes. Witches are also freakishly amazing in CC. But if they get caught in the open they will take very heavy casualites. Use cover and make use of your charges. Hitting your opponent in an alphastrike is key. Incubies are nice but they make it so your freak of a lord can't fleet. I would go with a retinue to let it fleet and use his amazing CC abilities to his advantage!

Oh! My friend used his dark eldar in Apoc.
There is this twilight rule where 1 of your shooting phases are done by nightfighting. 2D6 for all of us, I rolled for my team. I rolled snake eyes. My team plotted and planned to kill me and eat my liver after that.

one thing i dont understand is the way open topped fast skmmers work as transports....can you move them 24" flatout then the say, 10 men wych squad jumps down, moves 6" plus D6" plus up to 6" for the assault...cant be right, can it??? Also, can enemies target models in a raider coz its open topped???

f I were you, to play DE effectivly you HAVE to play a webway army.
A 9/10 Raider, 3/4 ravager list does not rely on webway, and it is looking like a top competitor at this years 'ardboyz
one thing i dont understand is the way open topped fast skmmers work as transports....can you move them 24" flatout then the say, 10 men wych squad jumps down, moves 6" plus D6" plus up to 6" for the assault...cant be right, can it??? Also, can enemies target models in a raider coz its open topped???
No that is all wrong.
Nothing can disembark after moving flat out.
You can not take a normal move after disembarking unless the transport has not moved that turn.
You can move 12" jump out 2" Fleet d6" and assault 12" (if you roll the right combat drug) for a total of 32", and if you really want to be a hard ass you can pick up 2-3 inches properly turning.

Agreed, although I would note that Valks & Vendettas can disembark troops while moving Flat Out.

The wyches can't move 6" they only disembark. 2" away from vehcihle max, and I think you mesure to the vehichle (skimmer in mid-air).
