Hobgoblin was one of my favorite beers a few years back. I've drank quite a few more since then but it is still yummy. I like the bottle also. Beer gods bless Wychwood!

My local pub serves it at the Pump.

Which of course my drinking cronies and I are having a 'last pint out the barrell' contest. It's currently around 6-1 to me.

HIC!

Lucky. No pump at work here.

Though bizzrely, out the Barrel, it's 4.5%. Out the bottle? 5.2%.

Which is why 12 bottles at the Solstice hammered me good and proper.

Lighter on draught? How odd. Most beers that I've had that have ABV variations are usually higher in ABV when on draught. For example: Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout in bottle is 10.5%, but on draught was 12.5%.

Any one else think of the family guy episode with the golden ticket in the beer episode when they read this.

Which reminds me. Wychwood do tours of their Brewery, and I did promise Thom and Si I'd do the driving.

Time to book in methinks.

As you should. Brewery tours kick many asses.

£6.50 per head, including tasting and a Brewery Glass! Not bad.

That very good. Bigger breweries such as Sam Adams (Boston Brewing Company) charge $20 I believe for the same thing. Many small breweries do it for free though. No glass but you get to try experimental in-house brews. Yum.
