I have done it with green, red and and blue so far with the same effects so far. It is just alot of stippling drybrushing.

I did a drybrush of GW foundation red in the center of the panel then did a lighter drybrushing over the foundation with GW blood red. Some I wanted to be darker I just did a red gore or scab red before the blood red. Then when that was done I used the GW red wash over the panel then GW black wash in between some panel and grill work.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

For the pipes I used a dark brown base coat then a stipling of dark flesh and a lighter stipling of blazing orange and then a very light stipling of boltgun. It gave it a real good rusted look IMHO.

I will have to take some new pictures and post my redone nugle rhino on here for my other example of the rust. The one I have in my gallery is kind of bad since the GS flesh I painted came out an angry pink color.

I am going to base coat it when the humidity level goes down since the spray will become pilly if I did it right now. I am going to paint it speed freaks colors. I will post it when I get it painted up. Again, thanks for the C&C.
