I loved the idea in the Apoc Reload book of the Flakka Trakk and it would the be ultimate Speed Freak vehicle. The most dakka and speed for it's size. However, I hated the GW vehicle they made. Eventhough Orks have some crazy ideas and will things to work but the gun of the GW vehicle was way to big and stupid looking. This vehicle was the second most expensive and the most painful model I own. I was cutting a piece with a new hobby blade (New heavy A*S GW Hobby knife) and the knife fell point first into the arch of my foot. It only stopped when it hit bone and stuck there. Let's say there was blood for the blood god. So between the trukk kit, Stompa and Battlewagon bits and the ER trip this model cost me almost 250 USD. So, here is my kit bashed Flakka Trakk. Still some cleaning up to do. As always, C&C always welcome. Enjoy.

Me likey! I've often wondered why GW or Forge World never made a Flakwagon model. Seems one of the most orky things in the world, right? Although I've always been partial to the quad-50 look, your gatling version looks ace. Now, can you paint as good as you convert, coz leaving that thing unpainted would be a crime, IMO.

I believe Forge World is working on some new Ork stuff.

I'm thinking one of the Quad-Guns that come with the Planetstrike terrain kits might serve as a good basis for a Flakk Trukk.

Thanks for the C&C. It took three weeks for my foot to stop throbbing and another three for it to heal over. I am going to base coat it when the humidity level goes down since the spray will become pilly if I did it right now. I am going to paint it speed freaks colors. I will post it when I get it painted up. Again, thanks for the C&C.

The only thing i can say about it is that the gun looks like its mounted on some very thin struts, beef em up and its ace!

even just use some metal plates to cover the gap of the gun.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

That is really quite impressive. The rear tracked section looks amazing, and could almost be a stand alone flakk tank.

Great work.

There are only 2 things I would change, I would move the ammo drum to be in line with the gun (rather than above it as it is now) and I would alter the engine compartment slightly to make it either totaly open or totaly closed.

That looks pretty damn awesome. Once I'm done with my Stompa I'll probably have the main gun left too, so I might steal your idea

That looks really good. I do have to say that the connection between the gun and the mount looks a little flimsy though. I would cry like a lil girl if such a nice conversion was busted by some kid who tried to move it or lift it the wrong way.

I was looking at the gun again and I also think that I am going to put some more mechanical bits in between the supports. I have a couple Earthshaker support bits that I can break down. That should beef out the support nicely.

The gun is pretty solid since my cat got mad at it and attacked the gun. The cat attacked and the gun won since it whipped around and smacked her in the nose.

Haha, well if it can survive a cat attack it should be good, and your cat was taught a valuable lesson : Don't get stuck in with da boyz. It was more of a cause for concern than a critisism, the model is amazing.

Firstly, that flakka trukk is friggin SWEET! That looks really nice, in all honesty, I now want one lol.

Secondly, your story of the xacto knife is the very reason I dont use them anymore. I had a similar experience once, but it landed in the top of my knee, and was standing strait up while my brain took a gak lol. Same deal, it stopped in the knee cap, so I had to "unstick" it from said knee cap. Not fun.

It is almost a right of passage for any new army I start if it can survive my cat. She jumped into three blocks of the old Empire Spearmen. Lets say she avoids that shelf now. Then she decided that she didn't like how my Big Mek Stompa was looking at her and struck. The homemade barbed wire and spiky bits made themselves known. She now gives my stompas a wide berth.

I sware that I need a young priest and and old priest in order to deal with furry daemon beast from hell. She has a deathwish since she teases my 90 lbs German Shepard. She sticks her paw out from under a door waiting for the dog to sniff the paw. When she feels wet nose the master-crafted lighting claws of kitty strike. My dog jumps back and yelps. The paw disappears back under the dog and you can almost hear her laughing. That cat is evil.

I hate the new GW hobby knifes. I bought it since the grip and size should make it easy to hold but I think I am keeping band-aid in business with the number of small cuts I have had since I have started using it. I remember my wife's face when she saw me calmly pull the upright knife out of my foot and the blood start flowing. I was thinking about drilling a hole in the end of the knife and putting a lanyard in it.

Yep I am going to paint it but the humidity (Kansas City, MO) is to high for me to spray my base coat on it right now. The paint will get pilly and dry dusty. I will have to wait to next week at the earliest. I think whomever designs a spray paint that can be used in high humidity will never have to work for the rest of their life.

Forgeworld have indeed made one of these and it was on show at their open day in April along with a whole bunch of Trukk add ons and upgrades. All due to be released with the new Imp Amour book. I may however, steal this conversion idea though.

A bit of everything really....... Titanicus, Bolt Action, Cruel Seas, Black Seas, Blood Red Skies, Kingdom Death, Relic Knights, DUST Tactics, Zombicide the lit goes on.............

Oh yes, red paint job. I do a base coat of dark brown, then stipling of dark flesh, then a a lighter stipling of blazing orange and then a lighter stipling of bolt gun. Once that is done I do a heavy dry brushing of gw foundation red then work up to blood red. It gives the model a used rusted look coming through the paint. I did this on one of my stompas and on my nurgle rhinos.

Here is some examples of the rust bleeding threw:
