Each window panel is two COD panels wide and three high. The eagle door is three wide and three high. It's huge.
I was going to do a big cathedraly thing that was two windows and an eagle door at the front and back, and then four windows on either side. Then I realised that I'd be looking at a 8X7 building that was three stories high. Not only is that bigger than any building I currently have (I have a 5X6 building that's half a ruin, and three stories high), and even in the most efficient and solid method of making it I'd need 21 floor tiles to make a roof that would probably never take any sort of weight, even with all the bracing I'd give it (and I've made some pretty big floors, so I know I can brace things well).
I'd also need 6 of the kits, leaving me with 4 unused eagle doors and 12 ruined walls.
I'm sure it'll look amazing, especially if you made the roof not flat and put CoD stuff on top to make it less boxy (but then the roof could never hold that, not without internal reinforcing beams), but too much effort and too expensive.

Yea, it's to bad there isn't a service that picks things up at one location and delivers them to another for a nominal fee. Someone should invent somthing like that, it's a good idea.

Hey HBMC, I'm sure you saw this:

Floor sprues released separately. I know you were looking for like a bazillion more floor sprues. Don't know if your favorite retailer carries direct only items though.

They carry a few. Don't know if they'd carry this though.
The floors could be useful, but given that I go through them like crazy, ordering 10 of them for US$130 isn't all to attractive.

Always the buildings have to be RUINED for CoD... no full building love? I would kill for a actual Forge factory building.

The main rulebook has rules for intact buildings.
One thing you might try, HBMC, is making your floors out of two peices of styrene, sandwiching square/I beam styrene rods between them. It is a little more work, but just like the real thing it will hold a lot of weight. You just need some sort of pattern on top and you are set.

Very nice !! Thanks !!
I hope GW decides to sell THAT floor sprue alone, too ... I like it so much better than the over embellished ones from the COD kits.

I'm going off of memory here, but the opposite side is for the most part is flat. There's two levels for the floors. The bottom level is just slightly lifted up, maybe half an inch, where the steps going into the shrine top off. The second (top) level is just like the CoD buildings. There's 6 inches between the floors with nothing in between, so that mean you'll need to roll a 6 for your difficult terrain test to make it to the top. There is a ladder (moulded in on the back side of the Aquila) that runs between the floors. You can see the port hols on the floor panels.
