If the shields are up you get a 4+ invulnerable save.
If the shields are down you can land any skimmer onto it and move the transported squad as if the vehicle hadn't moved.

Now if that isn't cool I don't know what is =]

Nice model!! You did well. I am stealing the oil stains from you. Very nice.

On a game note they are very cool and add to the game. Sadly almost impossible to miss with a large blast template, so they are hard to keep on the board. They mostly start as rubble. :(

The oil stains were in the photo on the box, so I can't claim any great originality there.

Yeah just mix the Chaos Bastion with the Skyshield . . . or just buy a Skyshield and the Chaos Bastion upgrade kit . . . whichever is easiest lol

Question about the skyshield kit, is there a ladder or any elevator/platform going up to it? Haven't had a chance to take a good look at it.. Gj on the painting btw.

There is a latter on the inside of all 4 legs with a hatch in the platform.

There's a cool one in White Dwarf, where they have used CoD scenery to make a building next to it, with a proper lift going up the side of the landing pad. Also there is walls all around the underside of the landing pad . . . just makes the whole thing look so much cooler in a city environment.
