Dear god, this is wonderful. Shame there's no hobby centers in Boston, but those global prizes are pretty sweet. I'd be equally happy with any of them.

Hrm. Seems to me you don't need to actually frequent a local store to rack up the 'mega prizes'. Nice.
Now.... for the people with many GW stores within driving distance... could you enter multiple times with different email addresses? Surely such a thing is underhanded and only for the unscrupulous, but is it monitored, I wonder? Hrrm.
The thought springs to mind simply because I have 2 accounts (Since I just made a new one when the first one was locked, just so I didn't have to bother calling customer service), and would hate to be disqualified for it. Luckily I don't think the second account has any personal info in it.
Certainly I'd never think about COMITTING such a lowly and base trick....
EDIT: I find it ironic that some people think MegaPrize 1 is rubbish by comparison. Usually I'm in total agreement, a physical prize is so much better than a short lived trip (Such is my philosophy when I approach the Price is Right). But I think in this case I would definitely prefer the first. Primarily because I have no interest in everything GW is releasing in the next 12 months, just whatever new waves Guard get. And secondly because lord KNOWS I don't need another 5000 point army! Or 5000 points MORE of a current army. Though if I were to win this one I'd likely milk them for 5000 points of Deathwing, then eBay it.
And funnily enough, just this morning I caught myself wishing I could go to Warhammer World for a day, and put it on my Life's "To Do" list.

And anyway I've already been (although neither tea, cakes or Jervis were on offer on that occasion).

The value of the first prize depends greatly on your proximity to HQ, I live two miles away so it would be limited value to myself but if you live in Oz or the States it could be pretty good. I'd love to win third prize, 5000pts buys a lot of Orks!
I've just registered and realised that the data GW amasses from their target market by doing this prize draw would be very valuable indeed, it would be interesting to see a breakdown of the age ranges and locations of gamers.

While Id always wanted to visit the UK, it seems that if I won the 2nd or 3rd prize, Id be saving enough money to take two trips to the UK.
Never been to "My GW store" more than a few times, but I dont mind braving the 22 to LA Battle Bunker to pick up a box of free stuff.

Looks like I'm already registered. Hey any and all of those prizes are cool. I know that #1 would be the most popular one with the wife for sure.
I remember when GW used to do stuff like this. Back in the 90's one of their prizes was every single book, blister, and box set in existence at the time. I was a teenager and mailed in my postcard and dreamed.

I have a sudden urge to (if by some freak chance I got the 3rd prize) build a Skaven army.
Consisting of only Clanrats (4pts) and Slaves (2pts)
At $50 AU for 40-80 points i think i'd get my money's worth.
Take that, GW.
Realistically I don't know what army I'd get. Maybe IG? It says it doesn't include forgeworld tho :(

The Forge World thing, I believe, only applies to #2.
2. One prize of every new Games Workshop product available through games-workshop.com for the period 1 October 2009 - 31 September 2010. This does not include Forge World or Black Library-only releases and does not include any age-restricted items.
But I can't think of any real way to make a 5000 point army with the restrictions they have on #3.
3. One Warhammer or Warhammer 40,000 Army up to 5000 points. The army must be legal in accordance with the Warhammer or Warhammer 40,000 main rulebook and applicable codex/army book.
