ahhhh ... I miss that quote, I find it quite amusing and it always made me smile to read it. I say you put it back - put it up as a poll. My favorite sig had a quote from triggerbaby about making a big O and get ready for some piss. Now that was funny.

Upon reflection, maybe this is a US v europe thing. Since moving to US there is a distinct avoidance of talking about death or laughing about it. I still laugh remembering the story of a co-worker who was relating a story about their uncle who got run over whilst crossing a crosswalk in a wheelchair. I was explaining how English people would laugh at someone getting run over by an ambulance. Ok, when I mimicked the action of the wheelchair and did a vroom noise I probably pushed it over the edge but most of the table was laughing ... or crying ... I couldn't tell from the tears of laughter.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Ah yes, around here death is a joke but cancer a taboo but in the US you joke about cancer all the time. That's where I go because I lost family and a good friend to it.

Ah feth it, the picture posted comes from Something Awful, which should be enough of a clarification.

I thought the "humor" in BrookM's sig graphic was that he had to leave the note as an internet banner ad otherwise the wife would never see/read it.

Yeah, and we've already established that you weigh 33 stone so at least get a diet drink.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

stones is just like feet, its the same size as its literal namesake. A foot is as long as a foot, and a stone weighs as much as a stone. Whos's foot and which stone? Now that's a question.

In your base, ignoring your logic.

Cancer can be funny though, I had an aunt with it and she always cracked jokes about it, as did my two other relatives that died from it.

But back to silly sigs, I like seeing my quotes in other persons sigs, although I would never agree with gwar because that's just too easy.

Can't be as funny as modeling someone with another persons skin strechted over their own face or having a pole shoved up your butt.

Here, let me be a pretentious ass :-)

My sig! I find it funny... I'm biased towards military jokes, so don't mind me. There's also an email going around that I wish I could fit in my sig... Ah well.

"Please tell all your husbands/male friends, etc. that shop at Home Depot
about this scam! A 'heads up' for those men who may be regular Home Depot
customers.

This one caught me by surprise. Over the last couple of months I was a
victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get
supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to
think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.

Here's how the scam works: two seriously good-looking 20 - 21 year-old girls
come over to your car as you are loading your purchases into the trunk. They
start cleaning your windshield with a Windex-rag, with their breasts almost
falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not
to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'no' and instead ask you
for a ride to McDonalds. You agree and they get into the back seat. On the
way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front
seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals
your wallet!!

I had my wallet stolen May 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th,
24th & 28th. Also June 2nd & 4th, twice on the 8th, 9th, and three times
last Saturday and very likely again this upcoming weekend. So tell your
friends to be careful.

P.S. Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for $2.99 each and I found cheaper ones
for $1.99 at Big Lots and bought them out.

Also, you never will get to eat at McDonalds. I've already lost 11 pounds
just running back and forth to Home Depot!"

Rico.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
