didnt really want a storm bolter on him, since he gets a pod i figured that the flamer would and should be in range the turn he drops.
also, wasnt sure weather or not the hammer was the best arm, so by giving both arms a flamer i can swap them about and still keep its use.

also, the missiles from the ironclad kit looks like gak
so they get to be HK missiles on vehicles (possibly razors)

But the libby is now getting there after alot of eye strain lol, its alot more detailed than i 1st thought, so it should be amusing to paint, even if it does take me ages to do so.
Ill get some updated libby pics up later tonight once i have his armour finished 100%

You could make your terminators Deathwatch.

I tend to stray away from DW, hate thier fluff lol, not only that, but i just dislike the colours for them.
Only models that should be painted in black and silver should be iron hands

anyways, the librarian's armour is done atlast!
Just done the brown base coat on the scrolls, seals, books and skulls.
Face has had an initial coat and a heavy highlight.
Pics of him should be on in an hour or so
This model will take me a while
Way more detail than i 1st thought, and most of it is hidden under other details, making me have to use a super fine detail brush just to get to concealed parts lol

Not sure if im happy just yet with his armour though, may end up either inking and re-doing it again, or adding more highlights to it, ill decide later.

I didnt get anything done today as I had 2 hospital appointments.

Few updated pics, allthough im pissed that the cam wont show them in the flesh, in pics they seem to show very little of the blending and make it seem more colour blocks, once i learn to use the cam ill make sure i get better ones.
If anyone can sort out the lighting in the pics or can let me know how to then that would be much obliged
Just pissed really that the cam wont let me get decent pics lol

But yea, one libby thats not even close to done, and due to lighting, looks nothing like the actual model lol

Quick update now, finally got more of the libby done!




so far ive finished the main labard / cloth.
Ill do the details (scroll cases and keys) once i get to using metallics.
The face has now been finished, a quick 4 stage highlight on it and then theeyes + pupils painted on finished that off. (wires around the head come with metallics)


Next up ill paint the purity seals and finish off the books, scrolls and skulls.
Then ill get the armour joins painted up. (the corrigated sections between armour)

Well, internet decided to die on me, so i actually got some painting done for once
Librarian is pretty much finished now, just needs basing.

Paints will be here soon aswell (hate phoning through orders)

Not bad,

Try to touch up the eyes. They look a wee bit cartoony :S
Otherwise fantastic job with the highlights and shading

Some of the transitions are a bit harsh here and there. And in a few spots there are some very obvious 'brush strokes'. On the right leg it looks like you missed a purity seal and the parchments could use a few scribbles to match the parchments elsewhere.

All in all a great effort with some fine tuning ( and a matt spray to get rid of the wash shine ^_- ), he's a great addition!

Skar: I tried using a pin for the eyes lol, i think ill go back over them using a brush this time.

Grey: This is the 1st model ive painted in a long time lol, but yea, ill clean it up before i seal it, still alot of bits i can now see ive missed.
Also, that part that looks like a seal is actually the robe lol, the top section is a twist in it, i thought this at 1st, but after taking a closer look and looking at more of this model painted its just the robe.

Thanks again though death im trying to avoid drybrushing (bad habbit ive been doing since i started painting) so now its just washes and highlights.

Also, anyone recommend any good matt spray? i used to use the ard coat, but since they changed it to purity seal its not worth its weight in piss.



On an update note: Finally got my next tac squad through, seller posted it 3 weeks after i paid -_-
5 will be made as death company, and the other 5 work as a small tac squad.


Also, ill be buying more this week (along with new paints since mine are dying fast)
Ill be getting 2 assault squads, another vindi and possibly 10 sniper scouts, allthough they pose a problem.

Sniper scouts count as an elite choice, meaning they are not scoring and use up a valuable chart place.
Only reason ill be getting them is for friendly games and painting (need to paint some cammo again )

Why i dont know , but there are one and another thing about , i think its just that hes to bright

Also , give the wash a wash og gryphonne sepia or ogryn flesh ...

Heh, the inks and washes tend to give him an unhealthy shine
once ive finished with the odd parts of the model ill hit it with some matt spray and get rid of the shine
Should also tone it down a bit since its the inks giving it such a bright look.

Weel, since ive had no painting time (been working) i decided to start putting things together ...... while working lol.

Just got a few new things and some additional bitz ive added in places now.


New combat squad with melta, beakie style (will have a whole beakie unit soon)




Finally got some death company together, currently have the "leader" with a power wep and plasma, however, they are all still classed as pistols and CCW's for now :(




A friend of mine at work realised i collected and played 40k, so he dug this out for me lol, he has had it for a while, and it was stuffed in his draw at work.
Its a little worse for wear, and i got it in over 50 pieces lol, but i think i have it together to a certain standard lol, missing the bumper and varios bits, but its all good, lost in battle





A while ago i posted pics of my death company furioso dread, who is now named "Lucio"
at 1st i kepy him as a basic looking dread, but after some thinking and ideas (some stolen shamelessly from dakka lol) i now have him looking alot better and less basic

Just slowly getting my way through things now.

This week i get my pay bonus (sweet!)
However, the missus will only let me spend it on my army, or the other love of my life, my airsoft guns
So, i think i may add an assault squad to my army (10 man) a vindicator and chappy.
this way i have enough money left to grab a new madbull grenade launcher and magpul stock for my G36c

but yea, moer updates on the way soon as i tinker in spare time

The loincloth: not my idea, sad to say, but i saw it a few days ago here on dakka with another banner, so i done a quick test fit and it worked out fine.
However, im pissed that FW dont do BA dreads :(

Mould lines: Models are put together
Lines get removed next, then painting lol, i rather remove them once together as i cabn actually see them alot better.

Next up: Ill actually work on some convertions lol, the bolter reload beakie wasnt actually intended at 1st, but the arm of his seems to be a bad mould, and had to be adapted somewhat, so i just had him changing the mag lol.
In the future though ill actually make some intended parts

Next week ill be placing an order again, this time for: Vindicator, 10 scout snipers (or 5 assault termies) and 10-20 assault marines lol, so ill start moving on this again as soon as possible

Updates on the way tomorrow
Havent had the money to buy more models yet (ill go into that later)

So far ive removed all mould lines (allways boring) and got everything ready for a basecoat, allthough, i need to grab some spray to save me time lol, mine is pretty much empty. (had enough to do half the dread)

Money: im a regular airsoft player, and my G36C decided to die this week (over use lol)
So ive had to payout £650 to get myself a new gun (M4 carbine) and get it upgraded to how i need it lol, so models will have to wait since my airsoft comes 1st

I know that you have done the librarian (which looks great) but a suggestion is the lion cloth in the front, it could be possible to bring it up to white instead of leaving it bleached bone colour, it would create good contrast and break up the similar colours for the purity seals and the scribes.
