Dark Eldar have "almost been ready" for about 5 years now.

I have also heard that the GK dex is being written as we speak.

I had also heard that it is indeed called "Codex: Grey Knights" not Daemonhunters.

My best guess as to what exactly Phil is going to do with them is this...

The GK fluff is that they are basically so redonkulously elite that they would have even less models than space wolves. That certainly doesn't work for a 'selling models' mission.

What they will probably do is play up the ties to the inquisition. Make the book almost identical to what it is now, but tied off from the other "imperium" books.

Their HQ might look like... inqusitor lord/grey knight hero/torquemada coteaz/special character grand master of the grey knights/brother captain stern

elites might be... assassins/GKT/dreadnoughts/acolyte unit (I never read an inquisitor book where inquisitors collaborated, I'd rather see the 'elite inquisitor' become the ravenor to the inquisitor lords Eisenhorn. You know, an acolyte about to get his mandate.)

troops might just stay PAGK/inquisitorial storm troops with access to chimeras

fast attack... valkyrie/vendetta/new cool unit that isn't just "silver space marines on jump packs"

heavy support... land raiders/inquisitory vehicle/biggerized demonhost model (loyalist demon prince?)

He could probably do a really cool space marine/human hybrid army, make it extreme level gothicness... tons of sack cloth, reliquaries, flagellation, hatred of birth control, and zealotry...


I think the natural next step then, is to make sisters of battle, and completely retcon out their ties to the inquisition. Their book can focus on their relationship with the ecclesiarchy, keeping all of their fun circus freak units, and basically 'giving back' all of the units they borrowed from demon hunters. That closes the book on allies, leveling the playing field, and that also closes the open door of "when is ordo xenos coming out?"

On both things, Daemonhunters already have been Jervisified and the Dark Eldar will following unwittingly.

If you honestly do not know the rules for a Storm Bolter by heart, you haven't been playing long enough to be allowed to use Grey Knights
