I'm thinking he means a Daemon army based around Epidemius and lots of Plaguebearers ("Nurgle's Tallymen")

Rules are very easily handled by a judge and that should be what stops people from cheating not a soft score.

I guess the culture of war gamers is just that bad that they need some incentive to play nice...(at least that is what I am getting)

GW's Euro tournaments don't have sports scores. I've never heard of sports scores in any Ancients tournaments.

It's only the US and Australia (dare I suggest, in imitation) who do it.

Sports scoring doesn't work, partly because like any rule it can be played. There are numerous stories of bad sports blackmailing their opponents for good scores, or of teams voting each others scores up.

Nor does the lack of sports scoring turn European events into a sackful of rabid weasels on crystal meth.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Which really makes me wonder why the US think they need it. I am not sure how it even started. The Euro scene does just fine without it and is as strong as the US tournament scene.

Different gaming culture, I reckon. The americans I have played (who were all lovely guys) were a bit more outcome focused than many of the guys I play from europe.

Of course, the plural of anecdote is not data, but that's what I have observed.
