Bottled water, sweet tea, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew
We eat lunch at a steakhouse in town before the game (Sante Fe chain) and hit IHOP when we're done because that's usually the only thing still open.
When I was running a D20 Modern Post Apocalypse game, I would make two crockpots of chili or stew for the guys and they would bring chips, dips, and salsas and copious amounts of Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper. Sometimes some Jack Daniels would find its way into my Dr. Pepper.

Mountain Dew.
I generally don't tend to eat when gaming, as I really don't want to be TFG who spills food on some dude's lavishly painted army.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

Well that's an obvious solution to that problem - don't play with people who have lavishly painted armies. Only play against the lazy folks like me who have more models than sense and more fingers than painted squads.

Following the title, I somehow expected this thread to be about munchkins. Well, surprise surprise! I should've known better are there even Munchkins in Warhammer?

There's a Chinese buffet next door to the FLGS that lets us do their takeout deal for $5. Chopsticks ftw. Otherwise, I'd say that while gaming, nothing greasy/messy that will leave fingerprints behind while handling models.

I don't get game munchies much. Usually, on game nights that I am up at the shop, my wife brings me a covered plate with a full dinner on it; whatever she had with the boys while I was out. A few mountain dews or some sweet tea, some eatin gear.

"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds." ~ HK-47 |

$3 per pound chinese buffet takeout two doors down from my FLGS is a good portion of the recipe for gamer nirvana. Gotta pack sports drinks and water though, for over a good solid day of gaming and chatter talking starts to hurt after a few hours. Otherwise, snackage consists of something with too much suger, gummy bears/worms or some other thing that won't result in cheese dust upon minis and the table. No alchohol at this store, though. Too many kids far below drinking age playing card games for anything but legal trouble to come out of any such drinks.

HBMC, I will forgive you your remarks about cliche. Ritualistically appropriate would have been more accurate. Anyway, srsly: If you dig on the vanilla coke, I got a drink for you. Tall glass, fill with ice, long shot of Dr. Vanillacuddy's Vanilla Schnapps. Fill with Coke. Try that gak, m'fren.

That's a recipie for needing a new wardrobe. I can hurt myself and others on a chinese buffet. Back in Columbia there used to be a little Thai buffet that was incredible. 12 bucks, but had ALL the good gak. SO worth it.

Also works with vanilla vodka. Cherry vodka is solid too, as is SoCo.

Bad SoCo experience as a kid. SoCo is NoNo. I might try some of the vodkas, but honestly I haven't touched that since doing some body shots back in school.
