180 x 6 = 1080. Nob with Pk and BP, add 40 to each squad so, 40 x 6 = 240. So 6-30Boyz+MAN = 1320 without HQ. Ork horde not gonna work under 500 pts sorry
but . .
WAAAGH!!Bozz 60
30Boyz+MAN 220
30Boyz+MAN 220

It's a bloody disgrace isn't it? Personally I'd drop the orb and put the lord on a destroyer body and give him a warsycthe - but even then it's hardly competitive. I hope they get that new codex out soon!

Meh, surely Dark Eldar are better played with as many warriors in Raiders as possible, coz they're so dam cheap and you can take a Disintegrator on each tank plus 2 in the unit (dark lances are good but not as necessary at 500pts)

I disagree. Look at the lists posted on page 1, every one of them has at least 1 tank (I see several with Land Raiders), and almost every ork list put up has 1-3 Kans in them. 4 Dark Lances in the list I posted might be overkill, but I wouldn't go into a 500 point game without at least 2 of them, (keep 2 in the first squad and keep them on tank hunting, change the lances on the other team for Splinter Cannons which doesn't change the point cost at all and they work better as anti-infantry).

How do you think that list will hold up in 2/3rds of the missions? Considering all you have is 8 non-WoN gaunts?
Sure it might be hard to deal with 4 MC's at 500p but them being so slow anyways will make mech armies just avoid them and kill the gaunts, or just capture 2 objectives? or am I missing something crucial?

Someone needs to try the meganob army. Megaboss (Mega-armor+bosspole) Megaboss (mega-armor+bosspole) Troops 3x MANz (two groups, I think this gets you exactly 500 points) If you want to make this a bit more survivable, give each MAN (in a squad) a different kombi weapon (while taking regular PK/BP warbosses) And there you go, wound bucket MANz

Can your MANz army get more cowbell?
Hmm what can I think of.
FortuneSeer.
5 DireAvengers.
Serpent, Spirit Stones, TLBL.
6 Guardian Jetbikes, 2 Cannons, Embolden Lock.
Seer and DA chill in Serpent, they snipe tanks til stuff comes out.
Jetbikes do the same.
Whittle the opponent down and then commit with everything.
Can go into reserve to counter drop pods.
BL to plink at LRs.
Jetbikes, move shoot move, focused on light tanks and infantry.
Fortuneseer fortunes the serpent if there's cover, or the jet bikers.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Well the answer is simple you hide them in cover (3+ cover save/ 2+ before the last turn). Also a mech army at 500pts won't hurt to bad. 3-4 tanks will not be able to avoid the 12" threat range of the MC and the S8 Template...

This is descent but where is the range threat?
