How many SM variant chapter codexes (like Space Wolves, Black Templars, etc) can we expect GW to publish?
4 that we know of; BA, BT, DA and GK are the only ones with a print codex currently and not updated for 5th yet.

yeah I'd love another apocalypse book. I'm sure if there was a plastic warhound we'd see FW release a bunch of kits for converting it to the different kinds, or for a chaos version

Given GWs backwards way of releasing things, they'll hear the masses and do the complete opposite. So everyone's saying BAs, but we're going to end up with another random race, for no apparent reason.
I'm personally hoping for the BA even though I don't play them; and I think with the way the SM codex works now, they might revisit the DA with either a hefty FAQ or a republishing. *Lame, I know*

Not many caught Harry's veiled double hint in Warseer's tyranid thread.
Before that hint I was convinced it was nids then blood angels. Now I'm thinking that its going to be nids followed very quickly by another xenos race.
with no chatter about necrons, that could mean dark eldar are closer to ready than we are all hoping for.
Seeing dark eldar in march or may would make a lot of 40k players very happy.

I would think GW would release a Marine codex on Oct 2nd if the keep to the current pattern. And something in April will have a codex or a major 2nd wave, if the pattern holds there too.

I read that the Eldar codex is written, and the guy who wrote it is itching to do Dark Eldar.
"Phil Kelly would really, really love to write the Dark Eldar codex. He said that the work he was most proud of was the Eldar codex and he feels that him writing the Dark Eldar one, I can't think of the exact words he said but it was along the lines of, "it would be a great extension and conclusion of it." I can't understate the feeling I got from him about this, it's like he feels he was meant to write the Dark Eldar codex. Almost as if the Eldar one is an unfinished tale without their dark reflection being done justice. So, the good news is. Dark Eldar players really do have someone batting for them in the studio and quite heavily too. Secondly, from what Robin Cruddace was suggesting, if you want GW to hear your opinions, don't whine on internet forums or write emails. Games Workshop pays attention to actual physical letters sent to them via the postie. If you want to be heard, that's how you do it.
And, the bad news. From Phil Kelly's talk, it strongly suggests the Dark Eldar codex is not written yet."

I loved this bit:
Someone also asked him "whether biomorphs are back?"
"Well, I can't talk about specifics, however, you should take a look at the 5th edition codexes, they all follow a similar format with their army lists. The tyranid codex continues the same way, so make of that what you will."
- I think that's games developer speak for, "there will be biomorph upgrades and they will take the form of the 'every squad member may take adrenal gland upgrades for +X points per model.'"
LOL.
More like developer speak for: "remember Traits, Doctrines, Craftworlds, Wargear, Gifts & Legions? "Remember", as in past tense? Yeah, well, you can add Biomorphs to that list."

That is because the new Tyranid codex is so awesome, GW declares Tyraninds the official winner, and GW shuts down as all is consumed.

"What I was hinting at was that there is a 'heavy' Nid coming. It's pretty big."
So, sadly, no Dark Eldar in March.

Like I said on EoW, that could be for the Tyranids what the Titans and Thunderhawks were to the IG and Marine covers, respectively.
