Really starting to take shape now, however, I am apprehensive of proceeding further:
Comparison Photo:
The next step is filling out the legs, sculpting a cape and a feathered trim around the shoulders. I'm fairly confident of sculpting these, however the shoulder armor is proving more difficult. Normally, I can 'see' what I am going to sculpt before I do it, and I cannot see it yet. I am considering using the shoulder armour from the un-re;eased plastic daemon prince (Below):
At this stage I am contemplating how to paint Korvus. Classic Nurgle? Maybe: time will tell.
Photo's of the something special I promised:
It was always going to happen, with the influx of artscale marine projects floating around I here present the artscale Chaos warrior. This guy is my first, and looks rather bland. I've bought enough components to make 7 so far, and I'm looking to buy more terminator legs to finish off a unit of ten with command. I'll probably wait to finish Korvus before fully converting this unit, as the army's aesthetic will be derived from him.
Here is a sampling of my marauders:
These guys are devoted to Slaanesh (thus the right breast). Simple people enthralled to their patron daemon:
Head swap with Morthai, plus I lost a set of arms for aesthetic purposes.
And I still need to find something to do with this fella, Beowart, prophet of war:
Army List up soon, plus a whole new irregular blog - 47th Praetorian Guard "Malbourough's Lances"

Korvus, The Dethroned Ever Dying King
Unlike his father, or his father's fathers, Korvus Festerheart suffered the melancholia of contemplative thought. More inclined to inward reflection than the sword, Korvus struggled with the expectations of Kingship. With the passing of the Clan Esttherweld's King, many foresaw the quick demise of the Festerheart bloodline, and emergence of the Bolus Jackalheart - a long-standing challenger to the throne. Korvus prayed to the four winds, and to the daemons of the earth; to the rot and the rage, and the fire and the lust. In the darkness, something listened.
Under the ruler ship of fair-tongued Korvus, the Esttherweld people, despite the winter hardships and usual wars with rival clans, prospered as never before. Within a year the King had taken the most beautiful virgin of the clan as his queen, the young men had grown tall and broad, and all enjoyed the benefit of one marked by the Gods. However, there was one who did not take cheer: Jealous Jackalheart - the one who would bring the ruination of his people, and rob the king of his life.
Korvus dark prayers were answered all those years ago by the great plague; Grandfather Nurgle. The patron daemon enjoyed conversing with the Prince of the Esttherweld, for it was rare to find one who so dedicated his mind to the meanings of existence, and the joys of life in an environ so harsh and barren. Daily, Kprvus would walk alone, before daybreak, in the wastelands, until he came across Nurgle's garden. There, he would learn the secrets of the damned, and talk with spirits that haunt that rotted bough. There, Korvus learned one of Nurgle's miracles; the transplantation of one spirit into the body of another creature. This gift was not without price, for the body without a spirt decays quickly. Nurglingsbane - an enchanted root that preserves the body while the soul is abroad was used by Korvus to practice his art.
Unbeknownst to Korvus, Jackalheart followed him one morn. Upon learning his lord's secret, the usurper waited patiently, until Korvus practiced his art; possessing an exotic bird. Quickly, Jackalheart and his retinue took arms, and slew the bird, and possessed the spiritless body. Jackalheart, in the guise of Korvus, now held the Kingship he had so long lusted for. Korvus did not die however, possessing the body of a fly that fed on the shattered body of his exotic bird. Weak and ailing, Korvus fled his lands, possessing both man and creature, to build his strength. Never dying, never living, the Ever Dying King of the Esttherweld. Automatically Appended Next Post:

@ Liveforfun666 - Thanks for the comment. I often find fan fiction to be rather staid and badly written. Although my fan fiction is both of these things, Iaimed to make it as short as possible to keep reader interest. I took the story from entering "Decay", "Myth", and "Fable" into google books, and came back with this remarkable find: http://books.google.com/books?id=CmPxsAFx7qQC&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_slider_thumb#v=onepage&q=decay&f=false
Thus the title for the plog. I want my army to selection to reflect Korvus ability to inhabit the myriad of life that infests the chaos wastes. So plenty of creatures, ogres, dragon ogres, nurglings etc. Plus this gives me a chance to exercise my creative flair in modeling all these beautifully grotesque beings.
Thanks everybody. I've found keeping a blog really you gives a tremendous amount of motivation.
Ciao DAKKA.

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
The Lost Brotherhood of Beghard.
Many are the orphans that roam the Chaos wastes. Refugee's of wars, whose champions are long since dead. The Beghards are a wandering tribe of orphan aesthetics, dedicated to a life of poverty, and physical deprivation. Physically weak, but beloved of Nurgle, the Beghards survive on meagre sustenance, and attacking in numbers.
This dude is based on this excellent illustration in the Mordhiem Rulebook
Unit Shot.
The Choas Warriros are looking hot. I have 5 in WIP phase of sculpting. I've collecting images again that I find embody the archetype of the chaos warriors, and trying to convert them into something substantial.
With each model, I feel that my sculpting skills are getting stronger, and I will be attempting to finish Korvus soon. I still haven't settled on a paint scheme for the army yet, whether it will be a pure Nurgle pallette, or something more undivided.
Thank you DAKKA, and have a rotten evening.
