The Arystan Rats (Arystan is the nickname of their commando forces in real life. Translated it means 'Lion' and the Lion Rats doesn't make much sense, but it sounds quite cool).

The Caspian Rats...

For rats you could substitute in dogs, lions, foxes, bears.

there are some good names there , get to the chopper!, but i don't like names with animals in it so... me and my guard buddies are still looking for a name...

Haha OK. Maybe the Red Legion, Iron Brigade, Red Division, or any variation like that...

That makes it kind of difficult to convey that they are city fighters then. Hmm, maybe the Arystan Iron Rifles, Caspian long-gunners, Arystan Stone Watchers. Dunno, just mix and match a few of the things that have been suggested.

The Red Slicers, for their knife-fighting prowess.
Led by General Orlick or w/e you called im, they are an ancient Regiment, with their foundation leading back to the Great Crusade. Khazak is a extremely advanced world. Due to it's proximity to the Ultramar worlds, it is a haven of piece and justice until recently. In M41 a neighbouring world, Artus Secundus led a major revolt, claiming allegiance to the Ruinous Powers. When asked to join them, the government of Khazak was split leading to a bloody civil war. The imperial sector came out on top, though barely. Even now, certain cities of Khazak are seen as havens for criminals and fugitives, whereas other cities are seen as shrines to the Emperor, were pilgrims can come and rejoice under the watchful eye of Statues. Recently, led by Warmaster (You chose the name), a major army of cultists formed, and marched upon the capital city of Khazak, Selakestial. The old general Orlick, who led the forces who purged the cultists, has had his youth renewed by disciples of the Ominssiah, in return for finding a STC on the planet of Medusa V during his campaign there, and handing it over to members of the Mechanicus. Just a rough idea.

mmmmm i think i'm gonna play more games before i nickname them. i'll wait till something memorable happens in one of my games and i then i make suitable nickname for 'em.

what do you think of the models? everybody is speaking about the nicknames and nobody says somethin' about the models.

The models look good, but I reckon the faces need a tad more detail.

yey i just got back from Crisis 2009! (thats like a wargaming convention in Belgium) and i picked up a cheap un-opened box of the ig command box, 3 cheap un-opened
guardsmen squads and 2 finished griffons ( i also picked up a lot of stuff that isn't related to games workshop like napoleonic miniatures and a lot of metal models wich i can use as tank commanders and officers for my guard
i'll post pics when i have 'em!

Interesting silly list lots of fun and games with Scouts but you are aware you have no anti-tank whatsoever right?

I dont think its too bad a list if your a scouting force, but you need way more flamers/heavy flamers if your a cityfighting force. (gotta love the negated coversaves)
I think the models are really good but the psyker's face looks to me a bit manga-ish just with the line eyes you now. As for a nickname how about :The striking serpents or Red Death or perhaps even the 17th Khazakians?

i agree but in an 780 points game my opponent cant get much tanks in his army.

like i already said about the nicknames, I'm gonna wait until something memorable happens in my games ( but thanks for the inspiration!)

Don't feel pressurised though....heck, I better start getting on with my renegades. Upstairs I have like...30 guardsmen, 5 termies and 5 possesed..assembled yet unpainted. All undercoated though

Lol your regiment looks almost like my 82nd crimson guard regiment except its silver armour plating instead of grey(though i have been migrating to the look of it). also are they loyalists or rebels because if theyre rebels it would literly be a sister unit to the 82nd lol. i like your commisar though, looks preety nice. you realy should put a backstory though, i bet people would love to hear it!

*Facepalm* That's not a Trench coat. It's a kilt, which is infinately cooler than a Trenchcoat.
