Looks good, but would it have killed them to Gstuff some muzzle flash or impacts?

What I want to know is who won? Or did they call it a truce and walked home?

In my mind, I'd like to think the Space Wolves won, cause they're manly and full of badassery. But with the upcoming Nids Codex, who knows. Maybe this Assault on Magnir's Crag will be featured as one of the more notable Hive Mind invasions.

I like the sound of that. And yeah, the SW probably jumped on the thunderhawk, dropped a bomb, circled around picking of the survivors, then landing safely followed by beer. LOL.

Good thing it wasn't attacked by the EC, or it would be the assault on Magnir's Crack.

awesome with awesome sauce on it but i dont know about you guys but i would love to see some day a race any race actually take the fight to the nids. this whole always on the defensive stuff is kinda getting old. Dang i wish these guys would make a diorame of a marine force raiding a hiveship because it seems like evryone is always at a gunline or fortress just waiting for the nids

Not really. In SH the termies are still defensive against the stealers.

Well the Iron Warriors used a Norm Queen, or some other Nid ship infected with the Obliterator virus, to land Titans on Hydra Cordatus.

In a world gone mad, who is left to fight for truth, justice and all that gets you smashed for under a fiver....

Beautiful work, horrible article. This is what I don't understand about GW, if they actually put out a proper article about how they built something like that, instead of just 33 photos and about half a page of type... The only thing they do is somewhat show making an explosion out of tree flock.

Yeah, if movie directors can keep their scrap film for DVD "extras" why can't GW see the value of keeping a WIP log of their fantastic display pieces. They could call it a "blog" or something catchy. It might even provide good content for that White Dwarf rag.

Even better, after a year or so they often scrap stuff like this (a normal company would, not sure about GW). I guess if they keep everything they should have a place where you can see stuff up close. Any of you brits, does GW have a HQ you can visit with cool stuff? Sometimes these things will go to live at a battle bunker. But if they had something like that as a prize for a GD or magazine promo? That would be sweet.

I see they are featuring those huge Marine statues again but aren't elucidating upon them. One photo clearly gives the impression that they are cast up in some fashion. If they were plastic they would be a dead cert for release but if they are only for use within the studio they are probably resin.
