Vendetta by far. Its the fastest transport in the game and the most heavily armed, all for 130/ 140 points. Scout move plus the option to deepstrike just blows away the wave serpent for speed, plus the ability to deploy troops while moving at 24" is amazing.

Now if only the tech advanced eldar could figure out how to copy that primitive craft things would be perfect.....

Razorbacks, either vanilla, or with TL Hflamer or TL assault cannons, do it for me.

Yes it is good. However, once you buy one you won't have enough money to buy the stuff for it to transport, therefore it won't be a transport if it isn't transporting anything.

Actually the Stormlord has to be the best transport: very cheap, very good armour and weapons (can lay out 30 S6 Ap3 shots if it dosen't move), can transport 50 troops with a lot of heavy weapons which can fire from the top as it's open topped.

It was a toss up between crusader and Chimera; in the end I had to go Chimera.

Sure the crusader puts out tons of fire but the chimera can put out 9 shots for 65 points and transports almost as many models.

Only it doesn't technically carry models Still, it's like a Land Raider that only moves 6" and is impervious to anything under S9. So far that's 1.5 transports I forgot...and one is a forgeworld model, not too bad.

Valkyrie/Vendetta for me.

For all the same reasons Sliggoth and Warlord mentioned plus you get Extra Armour for free.

I just wish I could afford more than two... 2 or 3 squadrons of 2 Vendettas each would be horrifying!

I voted for the Wave Serpent. Its a great transport - solid armor, fast and skimmer.

Considering the metagame being full of melta, the energy field has become even stronger.

Its only downside is how expensive it is when compared to another standard troop transport.

LRC FTW!!! I like it for its survivability, Capacity, Firepower, and the attention it draws when it comes barreling across the table. It definitely gets your opponent's attention...

But then again I am a Templar player, so my opinion may be "slightly" biased

It's fast, it's well armored, it's got a wide variety of weapons and it's got a force field. And it looks so damn cool

I saw a storm fielded once. It was used by a kid who felt that 10 man tac marine squads should have a plasma gun and no other weapons.

I'm surprised how many people actually think the Wave Serpent is the best transport in the game. Compare them to Vendetta's and you can clearly see that the Imperial Guard Skimmers just outclass the Eldar Skimmers.

-Wave Serpent 15 points more expensive (I'm assuming Wave Serpent with Bright Lance and Spirit Stones, like a lot of people take).
-Same Transport Capacity.
-Same AV.
-Vendetta's get the Scouts USR.
-Vendetta's get to deploy their passengers when moving over 12" (though it has to be by Deep Strike).
-Vendetta's get three times more firepower.
-Vendetta's get the ability to Deep Strike.
-Wave Serpents have the Energy Field.
-Wave Serpents don't take up a Force Organisation Slot.

I don't know about you guys, but when summing it all up like this, the Vendetta seem a lot better then the Wave Serpent. Even if they did cost the same, I'd still say the Vendetta was a better Vehicle.

I voted the Trukk, but the Devilfish comes in at a very, very, VERY close second.

Vendettas are good. The wave serpent is more expensive if you give it a brightlance, but it has other weapon options as well. It weapons options are more diverse, and in the current metagame Energy Field is extremely good. The fact that it does not take up a FOC should not be underestimated either.

I'm not saying Vendettas are bad, far from it. I just think the serpent's energy field puts it on top.

I voted for the DP simply because it's so useful. Being able to drop 5 Grey Hunters with a melta gun and a Rune priest straight into the enemy is simply the best, and if you take two, use them in tandem to keep your enemy guessing. Simply put, there are so many different options for the DP it's just got to be the transport around.
