Alright, I'm down to the wire here. My clock on my computer says 11:58 on Sunday, November 1st. Just made the deadline!

Anyway, I finished my squad of 30 boys. Pics will be up soon as they are uploading to the dakka server. Here's the paints that I used:

Skin: First, used Orkhide Shade over black primer (although, I will admit that not all the boys got primed , I learned the hard way...ALWAYS PRIME!). Then, followed that up with Snot Green, then washed with Thraka Green and finally highlighted with Goblin Green.

Clothes: The pants are simply Chaos Black. The shirts and boots are Tausept Ochre base, followed by Golden Yellow. The belts are Calthan Brown with Snakebite Leather over them. These were then washed with Devlan Mud.

Weapons/Silvery bits: All the weapons were painted Boltgun Metal while the armor plates, metal boot tips and buckles were painted Chainmail. These were also washed with Devlan Mud.

Teeth and bones were painted Bleached Bone and the eyes/tongues are Blood Red. The bases are flocked with Glade Grass. I used white glue and water (1:2 respectively) as the adhesive.

Things to improve upon: The gun barrels need drilled and I'm currently working on that. I'd like to go back over and highlight the skin with 50/50 Bleached Bone/Goblin Green mix and highlight the shirts with Sunburst Yellow. There are a few spots that need touched up where the paint bled over or the brush hit a part of the model that I didn't want the color. All in all, I'm happy with what I've done this week and look forward to posting my nob squad next week. Please let me know what you think!

As an aside, there are some WIP pictures in my gallery from earlier in the week.

Thanks for looking!

The Bad Moonz look sick ! They are awesome , both in this chase as in fluff and all that Nice work ! But i suggest you throw a black/devlan mud wash over the silver . A lot of unwashed silver can couse the effect that the models look flat . If you want them to look rich(and therefor have shiny guns ) wash them with Badab black and then overbrush the highest area with the brightest silver colour you got Otherwise , nice work , as said before !

Walkers still WiP but here's a pic of one (all at the same standard). Not happy with them but going to get the black highlighted then do some details quick to get them to a gaming standard and move onto the GBJ. Hopefuly week 2 these and the GBJ's will be on show

@ zatchmo... I agree with gretar.. they look really good but if you throw badab black or devlan mud on the silver it will look that much better... I personally would go with a wash or two of devlan... they will look kind of golden witch will match bad moons perfectly!

I did one really quick Devlan Mud wash over everything but the skin. I think you guys are right, I think if I do another wash, it will make them look a little better.

Thanks alot for the suggestions! It really helps having other people give me advice on them. All my friends and I are extremely new to the hobby and we don't know all the little nuances yet.

Thanks again!

Edit: These look kind of rubbish due to Dakka's resize. The actual images if you click, are 3264x2448.

That's a really nice finish on those marines. What colour green did you use?

GW Camo Green. White undercoat, basecoat Camo Green, wash Devlan Mud, cleanup camo green. I wish the green covered better. The cleanup takes about 2 coats to get rid of all the streaks.

Seriously nice terminators!

Was gonna ask the colour myself.

Really nicely done non-green mechanical bits.

I love the dryads also, and as far as the whole think of 'the orange base doesnt go with the white' is concerned... What if there was hypothetically dryads of that colour walking over orangey terrain? Would Gok Wan jump in and saw, 'oh god no you must do something about your complexion, it doesnt match the floor!'

lol
