Really amazing job. as one that prefers to sculpt my own stuff i really love to see people break out of the "i can just buy it" mold. you are doing a really great job and are using some of my favorite techniques. choice of subject matter is awsome too. Great work. cant wait to see it finished.

Ok, so here he is in all his nasty goodness.

I just have one last thing to do and he'll be totally finished. I'll be adding some clear coat on the nasty blisters to make them look wet but those would not show up on camera anyway.

The total cost of the project was aroun $30.00. Green stuff, hot melt glue, the little toy for the lower section and a bunch of bits. Some of you may not have the same bits as mine so the cost may go up a bit but thats to be expected.

So I hope you enjoyed this build and I'll post some pics later of the whole army.

I think this is the only new unit I haven't heard of yet. I really have to check out the new armybook. Can anybody give me a general description of what this monster does? As long as that isn't against the rules....

orkylooter - its funny that you asked that. So I was reading the fluff last night and it says that the skaven keep pumping this thing with warp stone to keep it alive. I guess its a giant worm they caught and started stuffing giant rat ogren inside of it along with warp stone. Anyway, since warpstone is made up I just went out to my local friendly game stores parking lot and grabbed up some small rocks.

I really just took some crappy rocks and washed them off. I crazy glued them to the body and started with a dark green paint and worked my way up.

That's it. They cost me $0.00.

Drive to the LFGS...... $1.00 in gas.

Rocks found in the parking lot.......$0.00 dollars

Making warp stone for my nerdy Hell Pit Abomination........Priceless.

This thing is absolutely sick. I really like how the flocking turned out as fur, it gives a mangy look. All of the bits blend in very well. Great work!

My thoughts exactly! That has got to be the most intimidating model I have ever seen, for ANY army. The huge fangs, skulls, etc have been overdone... this is fresh, and so, all that much scarier!!!

Coming from insaniak, that's like the Oscar nomination of modeling.

I will admit at first I kinda looked at it as well ugly, and was even hesitant after the initial layer of paint, BUT being able to admit when I was wrong I love the final result you came up with on this. The overal painting was very fluid very nice and the conversion ended up being tops. The best part for me is the fact that you did it so well CHEAP. That is always a great this as a lot of people fall into the trap of wanting to do a cool progect, but spending wayyyyyy to much money. So overall my hat's off to you sir great stuff.

Nice choice of colours. Despite being both light colours, the light green warpstone really stands out against the brown, almost seeming to glow...

I want to beat that thing with a rock, damn it is ugly. On the positive note Good Job! That does look as it is an abomination that if it was on the field I would concentrate everything to kill it. Hot damn thats an awesome scratch built model.

That thing is HORRIBLE! (I mean that in only the best of ways ) I have to agreed with Oppenheimer, that thing looks like something from "The Thing" (great movie btw). I'm looking forward to what forces created such a horrible monstrosity!

And this scratchbuild one is just the way i like it, since i got to like the idea of a wheeled abomination. Really impressing job!
Just some questions about this beasts dimensions:
What base size is this? It looks like one of those old movement trays (approx. 110mm x 90mm), or is is something different?
The overall size would interest me too. So, whats the height, length, depth of this monstrosity?
