50 is about normal for an event like this.

they DO have to rent a large location for 3 whole days afterall.

If you look at the cost compared to other similar venues this is a bargain in my opinion. There will be a lot of prize support as well.

Just to reinforce what others have said, this is a good price to pay for a tournament that has solid prize support, is well-run, and has tables with terrain on them. Sounds like a great event.

The cost is very reasonable IMO.

GBF, is it to early to start asking about specific rulings like how the deffrolla is going to be ruled? etc.

Based on your last reply, GBF, is it safe to assume that BB will not merely be using the INAT.FAQ?

Also, in the original post, you mentioned a FoW tournament. I'm not a FoW player, but I'm curious to know if the FoW tournament will still occur.

We will use the INAT FAQ as a reference but it will not be considered official. All GW FAQs that are current will be considered official. We will develop our own FAQ as well based upon the questions we receive.

We are still planning to hold a FoW event but are not accepting registration for Flames of War yet. I'll let you know when we will.

I wish you very well in this endeavor GBF. I don't know if I'll be able to make it down from Atlanta this summer or not; if I can get some other folks to come, it'll be more likely. Either way, another good, solid Indy GT in the Southeast will be great for the hobby, and I'm all for tournaments being successful as that means that everyone has a good time.

Living in SC, I'll keep an eye on this.

It's not that long a drive, especially if you happen to live in the southern end of South Carolina.

I don't, I live in Columbia. It's just under 9 hours according to Mapquest. Proabably around 8 hours in real travel time.

Sarge: That's about the same distance as it is from Atlanta, which is where I live. I'm trying to get a group together for the Team Tournament. I'm still playing Dark Eldar, and if I wanna go to a big tournament, I need to get probably four or five more Raiders for a competitive build.

When can we expect to see what army lists are allowed?

As far as 40k armies go if there is a codex then the most recent version is legal. No Chapter Approved or Apoc units.

I'm going to try to get something to eat at Yoder's and Munchies. I saw them on Man VS Food and the food looks amazing.
