The fact that he's gone freelance but still working for the same company here and there sounds more like a voluntary thing.

Haven't heard anything about Gav, is he still around? Yeah, say what you will about mr. Jervis but at leats he can write in a consistant voice. What the Hell was that crap that Kelly cranked out in the Ork codex? He would often talk in two voices within the same sentence. Many would start with a quote from the Dawn of War game followed with a multi-syllable semi-educated descriptive. Homeboy should put the Baby Einstien videos away and take a creative writing class, Heck, I may even pay for it!

Yeah his blog is http://mechanicalhamster.wordpress.com/ and he keeps it up pretty regularly. He recently got a deal outside of black library, so good on him I say.
