I've been in several fights with the racist skinheads I've run into,but I also have a few non-racist skinhead buddies,and yes those boys can drink.

To be perfectly honest, I have never even met a racist skinhead. The only blatantly nazi-esque person I have seen, was actually underneath the skinheads boots .

I don't know the specifics about the skinhead culture, but I was told something along the lines of what FITZZ said.

Amusingly enough, racist skinheads tend to be the " minority" in most cities,most (but not all) are suburban folks,who on occasion venture in to the city to go to gigs and occasionaly start gak.
As I said,I've had the occasional " dispute" with the Nazi-esque skinhead element,but for the most part they are all but invisable were I live.

As far as I'm aware, the 'skinhead' look comes from white kids in the 60's trying to copy the style of 'Rude Boys' from the West-Indies, fused with home-grown 'Mod' fashion.

Things like this make me glad I'm only 5 feet 7. Though I'm pretty skinny, so that in itself makes it a bit harder to find shirts that fit me just right, but pants are a breeze. For boots, I stick to jump boots but I do down a few pairs of docs and 2 pairs of demonias. Have you guys tried asking a tailor to make some custom fit jeans? Making 1 would be expensive , but as they measure you + make the pattern for your fit im sure they'll give you discount to make 3-4 pairs?

@FITZZ - The fact that it is influenced so heavily by Afro-Carribean culture is what makes it such a tragedy that the look has been co-opted by racists. Good tune by the way!
My general look is pretty skinhead - shaven head, parka, Ben Sherman shirt, tight(ish) blue jeans....I don't wear 'Bovver' boots though - I prefer white plimsolls, kinda mod-style...

As far as simple jeans go,I don't have much problem finding ones that fit,especialy since I wear boots all the time,so if their a bit short they still look ok.
My problems are with shirts ( to tight or to big) and with dress clothing,I have on several occasion considered having some custom things made,I may have to look in to it.

I agree,I've always found it pathetic that the racist skinheads don't grasp the fact that they have basicly adopted a look & moniquer that is so far removed from their political views,and I can definatly understand your concerns about being mistaken for a "racist skinhead",several of my skinhead buddies have had confrontations with groups of black guys witch almost got very bad,until they ( the skinheads) explained they were not racist skins but members of S.H.A.R.P. ( skinheads against racial prejudice) then every thing was fine.

MDG I have to confess i am starting to take a liking to you son. I can afford to have all my clothes tailor made. I love Seville Row. Look on the bright side if you have big feet you must also come equipped with a massive appendage as well. The ladies will most certainly enjoy your girth.

I feel your pain man. I stand at 6'3 and 24 inches across my shoulders. I can never find any fething dress shirts that are big enough to go around my neck and fit across my shoulders.

As far as t-shirts, I usually buy the 3-5XL, mainly because I like baggy shirts.

I feel your pain because when I stop growing I'll be 6'4 or 6'5.

How do you know that?
