Still am mostly.

I have been on Dakka since it was just a club forum, late 1999/early 2000.

I still read postings everyday, have a plog that I will (as soon as I finish up my deployment) update pretty regular. Otherwise, I have maybe posted 500 times in 10 years, across the ezboards, and then later incantations of Dakka. I did get to go to b&m Dakka a bunch, which was cool though.

Lost in the warp. Halp!

I think I lurked for a couple weeks by accident. I can't even remember why I found this forum, but it looked better than the others, seemed to have more content, and the people weren't (entirely) always trashing everything. Eventually I just started posting.

I'm still lurking. I pop out into a random thread here and there, usually with a witty rejoinder or a bit of clarification before slipping back into the shadows for several months. I do this here, on Warseer, B&C, and a number of other message boards. I just don't have the energy to get into protracted "discussions" with other people over a forum medium anymore. I used to be an ATT monkey back when I played Tau, but... not so much anymore.

But then, by nature of my lurking, I suppose no one really cares about my "whole deal." Blip on the radar so to speak.

At least I'm maintaining a low 'Net profile...

I'm still a lurker, I hardly post on the forums I read. *shrugs* usually someone says what I was going to say for me, and I generally avoid speculation and opinion threads.

"I drive a big car, cuz I'm a big star. I'll make a big rock-and-roll hit." "I am a big car, and I'm a strip bar. Some call it fake, I call it good-as-it-gets."

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

2 weeks. I was referred from another person I met at the local FLGS. The thing that caught me above the other sites was, amazingly, the Dakka Humor threads.

That, and while Dakka can be silly and self-depracating, it also can have VERY serious conversations. It's like Harvey-Two Face.

Edit: Although sometimes I don't realize I'm lurking until I find out that I haven't logged in.........

Forever alone

I was drawn here a couple of years ago by H.B.M.C.'s Codex: CSM review, just as I was getting into 40k.

Joined up early last year after getting over some bad experiences on other forums.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I was looking for a board that discussed Battlefleet Gothic which it did a lot back in the early years. I joined as soon as I found Dakka my first thread was help with an Imperial fleet list.

I took an interest in mainstream 40k later but took a while to find my feet.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I'm not sure if I'd be classed as a lurker - I just don't get time to post very much (I work to hard )

I have been an (occasionally) active member on Dakka since late 2000 though

Lurked for about 6 months, probably, before I joined up and introduced myself with "I will paint. There will be pics. Maybe this will kick my ass in gear..." About 2 months after that, I posted a trio of painted figures. My only ones painted to date. I've been posting more and more as time goes on, but I jump around threads too much to really debate at length, and I try to avoid going crazy with "me too!" posts. I'd like to think that since joining, I've been a productive member.
