Yeah, I have been putting it off. Getting new models is exciting and life is busy. I plan some more explanatory text about the town and it's inhabitants. Then I'll start in on the meatier fiction, dialog and the like. I'm already looking forward to writing the battle that Wortgob Gutsnik lost his Warboss in. It's where he meets (and "hires") a unit of Kroots, and oh the bounty! Hopefully I will end up with some free time soon, one way or another...
Thanks for posting, also. The more you bug me about this the more likely I am to getting around to it.
...yeah, I'm that kinda guy.

So I've gotten in deep, but it seems I'm coming up for a little air. There is this Eldar Exodite colony on the other side of the planet form Bigtoof. They are a relatively low tech colony, wanting to keep things hard and pure in the farmstead sense. The idea being if they are working hard they will have no time for Slaanish. The elders of the colony can sense the growing ork population on the far side of the planet and the war that breaks out when the Empire finds the Ork population.
A Harlequin Solitaire comes to the colony one day, looking for new recruits. A short time later whats left of the troupe arrives with news of their devastating defeat. With this news the elders of the colony and the leaders of the troupe (the Solitaire and Shawdowseer) devise a plot to entice the orks to join the fight against the oncoming Chaos. The troupe sets of with a group of the colonists, hand picked by the Solitaire, to seek out the orks and lure them into the middle of the Eldar/Slaanish conflict. These are desperate times indeed.
I was making an army list for the colony, but now I think I'll just make a list for this Ork Recruitment party.

Just a little note about the harlequin troupe:
They were on a mission to fight off a Chaos Cult, but the info on the cult was not up to date or was maliciously altered so the Harlequin troupe was outmatched and almost completely destroyer. The only members to survive were the Shadowseer, 3 mimes and the Death Jester, who covered their escape while the Troupe Master held off the horde of demons and cultists long enough for the 5 to make their escape. The Solitaire also survived, but only because he was on a distant planet looking for new eldar to recruit into the troupe.
It is unclear weither the Solitaire and Shadowseer had any foresight that this disaster would befall the troupe. The troupe master seemed aware of his approaching doom even as they went into battle.
The Shadowseer was devastated by the loss and unable to lead meager mime troupe any further than the planet where they met up with the Solitaire.
The mimes arrived on the planet first and told the solitaire of their defeat. Shortly there after, the deathjester arrived carrying the shawdowseer.
The shadowseer had sent the mimes ahead through the webway before returning for the deathjester, who was having a relatively easy time fighting back the cultists not engaged with the troupe master and the rest of the troupe. It was much harder for him to watch as his fellows were cut down by claw and scythe.
The shadowseer barely had the power to close the rift in the warp before the deathjester carried him into the webway.
The solitaire is then forced to lead the troupe, being the only one with an eye to the future. With the knowledge that the cult would likely be tracking the remaining troupe he set in motion a plan to fortify the planet against the forces of Chaos.

They are, only because they play Slaanesh in the performances. So Eldar in general are scared of them. The other troupe members respect their sacrifice more than anything. You see, once a solitaire dies, it's soul goes up for grabs in a way. Most are lost to Slaanesh, but a luck few have been won by the Laughing god. The solitaire also acts as Talent scout for the troupe, according to some older fluff. Automatically Appended Next Post: Wortgob Gutsnik, Venerable Magus of Gorkamorka Wortgob was a young mek when Gorkamorka took to the sky. He developed his skills quickly, learning about many alien gubbinz from his fellow Blood Axe meks. He rose to prominence under a Badmoon Warboss who gifted Wortgob with his powerfist during a share-out. This warboss was dethroned in a battle against the Tau when he was laid low by a "misplaced" choppa. It was this battle that Wortgob and his boyz came upon a unit of kroot who had stopped to eat the dead. After the battle the new warboss chased Wortgob out on the grounds that "tradin' wiff da squishies is un-orky!" So, Wortgob left with his boyz, the new kroot mercenaries, and all of his bitz except the ones he used to make a large bomb which he left ticking in his shop (right next to the warboss' house). He traveled the galaxies for some time after blowing up his former tribe, using his kommandos to press his alien contacts for more do-dats and know-wots. Wortgob led his crew along the edges of the Imperiums control, searching out the best opportunities to score a new kind of technology. Over the years he developed an intuative sense for locating "untapped" resources to add to his armoury. Recently his has followed his gut to the small town of Bigtoof. Set at the edge of a hotly contested battlezone, near an important convoy rout, Wortgob is poised to collect a small fortune in parts, while raking in the teeth repairing and kustomizing everyone's anything. This is where he met Zuddur Uzgrim (pronounced: youz-grim), a Runtherd who knew the legend of Naflug's "Super Grots." Wortgob fostered a kinship with Uzgrim and promoted him to Runtmaster in his mekshop. Together they trained a small army of Super Grots that kept Wortgob's factory gears churning.

Interesting, cleaver Eldar who are acctually cleaver! I like where you are going with this in that you aren't just saying "Hey, I know we are immortal enemies but let's beat up these guys instead". I'm picturing an Eldar low tech (Exodite?) city who would be trading with the Orks and I have to say I'm getting some weird pictures in my head, I can't wait to see what you flesh out. Keep up the good work.

Bigtoof is on the planet 88 Tanstar, which lies near the Threnos Zone. This zone is what drew Gotsnik's attention in the first place, but even he was weary to venture closer. Lucky for him there is an Imperial Navy depot on the frontier planet, Tanstar. Automatically Appended Next Post: In my research to see about a planet for Bigtoof to reside upon, I found in the Lexicanum: 88 Tanstar, a frontier planet in the Calixis Sector. A prophecy of approaching chaos!!! So the Harlequin troupe was decimated by some IG Chaos army, and now the Exodites are on a mission to inlist the ork in a fight against the IG (if they turn to chaos) and any other demonic hordes. The eldar are on a mission to save the galaxy!

Gutsnik has a contact in the Inquisition... a member of the Xenos Hybirs, a Calixian =][= Cabal.
The Exodite Clan: Ethildorin
Exodite name for planet: Elothieldor
The Farseer has seen the coming destruction that the Harlequin told of, upon arriving on Elothieldor, in the rune stones long ago. She had feared a wrong step as the stones prophesy was uncertain in both time and outcome. It was clear only that Chaos was coming, it would appear close by and hit hard.
The Exodites knew of the battles being waged on the other side of the planet, near Bigtoof and an Imperial Navy Depot. Though they detested the Orks as brutish, ignorant and clumsy, they knew humans would be the first to turn to Chaos. It was with this conviction that the Farseer and Warlock Council devised to the Orks in the coming fight.
And so it fell, to a select few of the tribe Ethildorin and the remnant Harlequin Troupe. All eldar know it is difficult to communicate with an ork, while most consider it impossible. So, the fellowship conspires to manipulate the circumstances so the orks are in an advantage over the humans and poised to strike. The mimes are sent ahead with two of the ninja adepts to gather reconnaissance about both factions. They return with news of the interesting social dynamics that play out in Bigtoof.
That is, they tell of a large ork mek that employs ork and alien, alike, with a support staff of unusual tenacious grots, and his Imperial connections; they tell of the Thrashing Serpent tribe that roams the lands while a small contingent of Weedy Boyz and Runtherds tend the imposing settlement of Bigtoof Propa; and they tell of the band of orks pretending to be a towing company, offering their services to all comers, and stealing what every they can.
***
So the mission for the Fellowship of Exodite and Harlequin is to sabotage Gutsnik's ties with the Imperium and unite the factions of Bigtoof against the hordes of Chaos.

So, this is clearly becoming campaign scenario that spans the scales of 40K, from =][=munda to Planet Strike. I'[m happy with that, but this is not the thread to get into it on. I'm still trying to organize all the forces that are in the mix. It's mostly an ork's world though. There is not much fluff on 88 Tanstar. It seems to be a background planet in an area of Calixis sector the Imperium would rather not exist. Still, the humans keep a naval depot in case resources are needed. They never say much as to what they expect from the area, but those who are aware of the Tyrant Star prophesy suspect a connection. Lord Inquisitor Zerbe is among the few that know of the Inquisitions regular presence on the planet. It is through his imperial contacts on Kommitzar (a penal world on the eastern(?) fringe of the sector) that Wortgob Gutsnik first heard of the Threnos Zone. It's connections to the dead planet Threnos and it's "Forbidden Worlds" classification combined with murmurs of ancient living robots peaked his interest. On his way to the zone a series of malfunctions destroyed his ship's engines and he was forced to establish a facility on 88 Tanstar. Not that this was distasteful to him, access to an imperial depot offered many opportunities to collect the necessary bits to repair the engines and continue his quest. As few as know of the Tyrant Star, fewer still know of the Exodite colony on 88 Tanstar. A small group of Eldar, one of the first groups of Exodites to leave their society, has been surviving quite well on the far side of the planet. Hidden as they have kept themselves in the indigenous jungles on the planet, few if any see the large serpents that roam 88 Tanstar as evidence of an eldar population. Though, there are some in the Ordo Xenos that may suspect. They have been living on the planet in perfect harmony for eons, purposefully keeping their community small. When they left their maiden world, the farseer that lead them was guided to 88 Tanstar, with the Eldar call Ethildorin. It was unclear, at first, why this planet was so significant. More recently the ruin stones have been warning of a great evil engulfing or devouring the system at large. Without many more clues the Exodite's elders concede the need to contact the other races tha occupy the planet, though they loath the options presented. It is not until the remnants of a Harlequin Troupe arrive that a fellowship is formed to search out worthy comrades to form a defense against the coming threat. All the while a continental war rages on between the growing ork population and the imperial forces on 88 Tanstar. As the humans stretch out, grasping for more resources, they become divided and cut off from the main depot. Trade routs between settlements are risky on the best of days, as the speed freaks jam down the imperial freeways. The more rustic Snake Bite tribe roams freely, ravaging the landscape with herds of Boar Boyz. Some of the outposts on each side have opened their doors to all comers, though I wouldn't say that makes it a safer place to be (the wrong side of a bolter is still the wrong side). It is one of these such communities that Gutsnik has planted his mekshop. Ok, I think that's the motivation of all the factions that are involved. Please let me know what you think. My goal is to make this a playable scenario with a few special characters and special rules. I'm on my way, but spare time has been in short supply lately. There are certainly more details about all the characters mentioned or alluded to above that I hope to nail down in the coming weeks. Again, please leave a post an dlet me know what you think, if you have any additional ideas or know of any pitfalls in scenario building that I am heading towards, anything. Thanks for reading.

Just a quick update. Jotting down some thoughts on the Tyrant Star scenario I'm working on for Bigtoof.
The Exodites and Harlequin have narrowed their gaze to coincide with the time frame of an approaching alignment within the Threnos Zone, though they are still uncertain of what might manifestation or the roots of the prophecy on 88 Tanstar.
Meanwhile, the forces within the Imperial Navy Depot are corrupted more and more by a group of engineers that were transferred to the planet some time ago. A small force of Adeptus Mechanicus Marines and their specialist, stunty companions. They call themselves the Phoenix Chapter, but the few records that the Depot CO has turned up partial at best and in one instance elude to the chapter disappearing thousands of years ago.
The Phoenix Chapter is a working title. I am open to suggestions. They will be using warp cannons to enhance the alignment in the Threnos Zone from the surface of 88 Tanstar.
THe Chaos force will be lead by Tzeentch forces with Slaanesh and Nurgle backing the bird up. Slaanesh will be there to focus on the Harlequins, with special characters hunting for the Solitaire (wanting despairingly to posses a key to the Black Library). Nurgle will be there for the flesh, and to help manipulate the Orks (not that it works). Tzeentch will offer the blood to Khorne, of course.
This is also why/how Gutsnik was so able to collect any IG gear he wanted.

Renegade Kan Killin Orks
|
I've been working on a few lists lately, thinking about where I'm going with it all. The lists were getting to be too many, and I'm not planning to use all of them for anything except personal files... So I started thinking about what the point of all the lists was, what I was trying to figure out.
What has been driving Gutsnik onward in his search across the universe? Well, going over the lists... it all kind of fell into place. Wortgob Gutsnik scheems to release Gork and Mork from the warp and bring them into the material universe. He is getting closer to this end, too.
Gutsnik has been traveling the universe looking for technology that might be useful to such a cause and, not knowing what might be useful, has collected quite an assortment of goodies. He has also had the opportunity to build a particularly suited staff. His second in command, Gorbad Shakstof, is a warp technology expert (or as much of one as can be said of orks).
Gutsnik set Shakstof to finding their gods in the warp. To this end, Gorbad has been launching snotling after snotling into the warp with messages for Gork and Mork. Few of the snots return, but the ones that don't emedietly turn into snotrooms become the fiercest opponent. These grots are favored with powerful close combat weapons, such as the chain sword. Some even tell of their adventure through the warp and the signs of the green gods.
Gutsnik, himself a ballistics expert, has been working out the kinks in his kustom graviton-gun kombi rokkit launcher, having already mastered the technology surrounding the railguns of the Tau. After hearing of the Tyrant Star, Gutsnik became obsessed with these two guns. He built larger and larger versions and fired them from the surface of his asteroid disguised space hulk, but he was never satisfied with the resulting destruction.
Lots of things blow up, and they were magnificent explosions, but it was never enough to destroy the barrier between the universe and the warp. He did notice, through many trials, that you aimed the shot right you could destroy entire solar systems, and he did... serveral times... just for his boys.
In search of the Tyrant Star, Wortgob followed his gut to the Threnos Zone, a superstitiously avoided system of 13 planets. Traveling through the system as a rogue asteroid allowed him to collect data without arousing too much suspicion, although he did not go unnoticed. Once the data was analyzed by his smartboyz he noticed a significant alignment in the system that would be occurring in the not too distant future. It was Skabmek Wazgrot, an apprentice of Gotsnik's, who pointed out that 88 Tanstar had the perfect view of the stellar phenomenon.
Gutsnik promptly set course for 88 Tanstar, where the asteroid now rests in a steady orbit. From the space hulk, Wortgob and a select group teleported to the surface of the planet in a Mekshop, ready for business on a busy freeway, near a Snakebite Ork settlement known as Bigtoof. Here he has set up rodue trade agreements with the Naval Depot on the planet, as well as a steady business with the passing populous of orks and humies and other xenos. All the while planning for what he thinks is the coming of the Tyrant Star.
He has been searching for the perfect place on 88 Tanstar to set up a kustom shock-attack-graviton-rail-gun so he can destroy the Tyrant Star and rip a hole in the universe for Gork and Mork to come through. This is the thing that ends up cunfusing the Eldar Exodite psyckers, that he wants to destroy the Tyrant Star is in line with their motives, but the hole in space after that is a separate matter. SO the mission for the eldar is to help allow Gutsnik to destroy the star but sabotage his plans before he can tear the fabric of the universe.
The Imperial forces can be loyal or renegade, or chaos. A large portion of the Naval Depot staff having fallen to the lure of the warp, the Inquisition is forced to take drastic action. They call on the Deathwatch Marines to cleanse the formidable xenos threat on 88 Tanstar, and the Grey Knights. Do to the nature of the Tyrant Star, it is difficult to know if it is a force for Chaos and the warp, or the Tyranid... but I don't like the Tyranids as much as Chaos, so it's gonna be chaos. It could just as easily be Tyranid if anyone wants to use it as the basis for a campaign, as I intend to.
I hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading and as always: comments and criticism are welcome and wanted.
Have a goooood night, and good morning. I'm off to bed!

I've got the idea it would be better, fluff-wize, if Gutsnik's starship was attacked by the naval fleet restocking at the Depot on 88 Tanstar. He waws draw toward the region due to the Imperial population, and a strange Warp presence in the region. Hoping to take advantage of both he ventured too close and was shot to pieces (his ship anyhow).
Before Gutsnik's ship was totaled, he teleported his personal mekshop (and a small assortment of other pieces of the starship) to the surface of the planet. Later (or rather, more presently) he is able to establish contact with the majority of his ship (and crew) which crash landed on the moon and was subsequently ignored by the Imperial fleet.
(Like I said in the subject: a small edit ;~)

Good to see you again, Metallifan. Thanks for the epic props. What do you think about "88 Homestar"? So, I've got the story going like this: Gutsnik was a young mek working on Gorkamorka sortly before it was finished, were he made a name for himself replacing his his own guts after a vicious pit fight. He was a runty mekboy, but he was good wiff da bits, so some of da lootas would hang around him and give 'em parts dey weren't using, and he would make dem big gunz better. After Gorkamorka took to the sky Gutsnik made his way by being a particularly clever mek, having learned much from the lootaz of his youth. Eventually his tribe joined Grimfang Mekdreg's WAAAGH. Grimfang was a rather mekcentric warboss that favored his meks and their kontraptions over da boyz. As it went Grimfang found his end in a most konfusing fight against day Tau, strangely enough the axe that killed him was in his back... Well, Gutsnik (being a clever ork) took the hint and left town immediately after setting as many explosives as he could find. "Dat aut to wake em up" he chuckled as he locked the door on his cruiser. He had already gathered the other Blood Axe boyz into his ship as well as a band of mercenary kroot which he "hired" during the battle that saw Grimfang fall. As they launched into space Gutsnik explained his most devious plan yet. They were going to send the ship straight into the Tau fleet that had blockaded the planet while all of da boyz teleport onto different Tau ships and wreck da places. He sent a couple meks along with each squad so they could get the ships working again after all da Tau were died. The kroot were sent back to their warsphere where they tried to recruit more of their fellows with promises of new technology and less oppression. "Everyone eats everything, it's a big party with those orks, and the boss is making us new toys!" The plan was a moderate success, Gutsnik and his ladz captured two ships and a few extra kroot before slowly drifting away shouting about the Tau's crap engines. He had the meks working on dem boostaz first. The more advanced and better protected (so as not to let the orks overtake the crew) vessels had Gutsniks new fleet almost sorrounded when they got the motors fixed and the back end of both ships exploded, one right after the other and the two ships punched through the Tau fleet and disappeared into space, badly damaging the ships that were in their way. It was this moment that began Gutsnik's Orky Crusade. He saw the timely completion of the engines as a sign from Gork and Mork. He was convinced that they had saved him for some reason, as the meks had no explanation for how the engines got started. Gutsnik took to explaining it in relation to the Reforkation (reformation) dat had forced them to flee the planet in the first place. How Gork and Mork had obviously favored the Blood Axes above the other clans (since da beginning) and dat they had become subjugated and hated by the other orks (Da Big Party), but they were still the chosen tribe. This fact emphasized by their daring escape. After rallying da boyz to the banner of Gorkamorka it was time to start planning their revenge. Gutsnik saw his mission clear: To bring Gork and Mork into real space. Obviously this was the only way to please his gods, that is, by bringing them into the fight. So he and his ladz set off in search of a means to exact this end. He made great use of the Tau teknology as well as the Kroot's, all the while trading or taking whatever he deemed necessary to further his mission. His fleet grew as did his tactical ingenuity. He gained the support of non-Blood Axe tribes as he own WAAAGH built in speed and size. He even managed to rig a Nicassar Dhow with wyrd grots that had survived SAG missions to lead him to the Real Space proximity of Gork and Mork's warp space location. It was this method of navigation that lead Gutsnik toward 88 Tanstar and the Threnos Zone. On the approach Gutsnik's advanced detection equipment, that he cobbled together from Tau, Kroot, Imperial, and several other kinds of bits, could see the imperial fleet "docked" around 8 Tanstar (relatively close to the Naval Depot on the planet). He decided to split his fleet into sevral small groups, sending a few of them around the long way to sneak in behind the line, while his own ship and several gunships barreled toward the capital ship of the Imperial fleet. The grots piloting Gutsnik's ship were the first on board to understand his plan, being psykic they could hear his thought echo through the warp. Just before the fight began Gutsnik teleported himself and several smaller buildings on his 'ulk to the surface of the planet. Knowing their time was at an end, the wyrd grot pilots managed to boost the already formidable forward force shields and ram several of the Imperial ships before the ship was blasted off course and careened into one of the moons, almost blowing the moon to pieces. During this distraction the smaller groups of his fleet, sent around the long way, took up their positions behind moons and in asteroid belts and the like (being as sneaky as orks can be). It is here, in the story, that we join Gutsnik as he indorktrinates a group of Snake Bite Runtherds to join his most holy endeavor. By encouraging their personal styles and more ancient methods of training he was able to help the Runtherds develop a more able grot. He was also able to open a line of trade with the other orks and humies on the planet, collecting much needed parts directly from an Imperial store house. As he learns about the Tyrant Star prophecy from his squishy contacts, he begins to understand the end of his crusade is finally upon him. Gutsnik saw the potential to use the Tyrant Star to create a large enough explosion to not only tare a rift in real space AND attract the attention of Gork and Mork, to signal them to the opportunity, to doorway into the real. It was this vision that convinced Gutsnik of the importance of the planet and it's inhabitants. He could see the humies gathering to confront the force of the Tyrant Star, as well as to celebrate it as they fractured off into loyalist and traitor factions. His Kroot operatives even warned him of the Eldar scouts that kept popping up to survey both sides preparing for the coming of the Tyrant Star. *still not very character driven, but that's the story. Now I can delve into the important moments with dialog and individual characters besides Gutsnik.* Let me know what you think, please

Here's a note, Wortgob Gutsnik gathers orks that excel in their chosen field and praise Gork and/or Mork. Fun modeling opportunities for the details between Gorkers and Morkers and the Gorkamorkers. In fleeing from Da Big Party (much like the Warriors fleeing the gang conference) Gutsnik comes in contact with more humans than ever, due to the growing efforts of the Inquisition to eradicate the Xenos threat and stave off the vile taint of Chaos. These forces reinforced the determination and drive Gutsnik already in serving Gorkamorka. He began interrogating grots that he had sent through the Shokk Attack Gun and serviced. They spoke of strange squigly beasts, mostly, but every now and then there would be a sighting of Gork and/or Mork. Grots that went through the SAG too often started to develop a sort of warp-vision, seeing into the other realm wihle losing their sight in the real.

The story of Darius Miska begins on the mining world of Junos, where our hero has been entrusted with the oversight of a portion of the planets utilities while his parents rule over the planet as a whole. Darius is trained in many of the arts of high society and combat. While he doesn't show a great interest in his charge, he carries out his tasks efficiently. On the far side of the sector a sleek rogue trader ship known as The Wicked Peter is being chased by a ship from the Inquisition. The Inquisition has demanded The Wicked Peter turn over their captain, Aldresse Miska and all xenos on board. It is clear through the course of the chase that the Inquisition is not easily lost and, in an effort to save the ship, the crew prepares to be boarded. Moments later, the Inquisition makes a dramatic entrance into the Wicked Peter and is surprised and insulted that they are not met with any resistance, or even an audience. Aldresse has advised his crew to stand down, he has decided to give himself up to save his ship. He has already given the crew the location of his successor, his brother (Darius' father). Most of the xeno crew has been reluctantly crammed into one of the ships many smuggling holds, which renders most scanners useless due to a powerful scrambler. The Inquisitor already knows there are xeno on board, it is simply a matter of finding them. He orders his guards to take custody of the captain while he and his acolytes search the ship. The guards have an easy enough time finding the bridge but they are surprised to find most of the crew gathered when they arrive. Aggression flares a bit and the captain does his best to keep his crew in line. The guards, feeling a bit out numbered, stay aggressive and stern. They pull the captain off the bridge and push him down the corridor, away from the massed crew. Zuriel has been assigned to his room, where he broods over the lose of his captain. You see, he too is a xeno though he can pass for human well enough. It is more his demeanor that might give him away. Though he is a botanist by trade and passion, he maintains a powerful determination that allows him to accomplish much more than the average human. As he passes back and forth in his room he hears the guards pushing Aldresse down the hall, past his door, and it is too much for him to bare that such base creatures could be given the authority to abuse such a man. Zuriel strides toward his door, grasping his axe effortlessly as he moves. In the hall, the two guards spin around quickly as the door slides open behind them. As Zuriel's axe imbeds in one guards chest, the other opens fire. While Zuriel continues his charge, astoundingly avoiding the guards rash and worried shooting, the captain jabs the guard in his side and hooks a foot around his ankle to send him to the ground. Zuriel dispatches the guard quickly upon joining his captain. Hearing the fight break out, the Inquisitor is pulled away from the cargo hold hiding the frustrated xenos, just before he could open it, but it is too late and Lofpirr can no longer handle being in such a tight space. With that in mind the Dalpin hurriedly opens the hatch, anxious to be free of the wookiee's smell and to be in a good fight. They catch the Inquisitor surprisingly off guard and running away, to join his failing guardsmen. The four stowaways immediately open fire only to gun down one of the Inquisitors acolytes. With a mournful yell the other acolyte turns to return fire, but the squats have already taken defensive positions along the corridor. Lofpirr continues shooting from behind the door of the cargo hold. Shortly the rest of the crew and their captain arrive to catch the Inquisitor in the middle. The volley of shots is not long, but the Inquisitor manages to mortally wound Aldresse before he is gunned down. Zuriel and the Verbal tend to the captain while the others board the Inquisitorial ship to look for loot. While aboard Nixon programs the auto pilot to fly into a nearby asteroid field. Aboard the Wicked Peter once again, the crew prepares to bid fare well to their captain and Lex give the coordinates of their destination to the navigator. Of course the navigator already has the flight plan mapped out. They begin their search for their new captain while Captain Aldresse fades on the medical table. _Next Installment: The Wicked Peter kidnaps a captain_

Well... I finally found some background on Junos, Darius' "home world".
http://endtransmission.co.uk/games/2010/08/junos/
It seems the planet is more akin to Necromunda, at least as far as the Mining Guilds have taken over the planet and fight amongst themselves regularly.
So I'll have to rethink Darius' background some what, but not too much. I mean, a guild war sort of take over is what I had planned for his family... being the victims, anyhow. So Darius is supervising some servo-drones as they fix some hardware in his Guild House when several other houses attack together. Obviously organized by a third party, who went so far as to condemn the family with accusations of trading and associating with Xenos (which is not entirely untrue).
As Darius' house and family fall, he escapes with help from some loyal house members. During the commotion Lex and a handful of his crew manage, through a combination of luck and timing, to kidnap Darius and wisk him off to Kessae, a nearby frontier planet. By that time, however, there was a bounty out on the Captain and crew of the Wicked Peter, so their stay on Kessae was short lived.

Aaahh, you're crazy! This is my thread, and it's been less than a month since I posted last. Check yo-self! EDIT: Just compiling some reference for to Inquisimunda teams I'm toying with. They make up a portion of the Lucciano family's trade fleet: Lucciano Limited. The first ship to get attention is that of the Wicked Peter. While the Warrent of Trade is held by Darius Miska, the Wicked Peter is commanded by Lex Corelli. Lex's crew is comprised of a small group of humans, a Wookie and three Demiurg. The second ship I have begun imagining is the Wicked Peter's sister ship, the Zeno Infinitas (Based on the yatch by the same name here: http://www.schopferyachts.com/). The Warrent of Trade is held by captain of this ship, who is Darius' uncle. His crew consists of an assortment of aliens and humans, most notable (at this point) are a group of Tau, a Water Cast Diplomat, an Earth Cast Engineer, and a small contingent of Fire Warriors, lead by (No Name Yet), to accompany the diplomat (All of them come from Dal'yth). The Demiurg and the Tau joined their respective ships after being rescued from a trade confidence that had been thrown into chaos and warfare when an Inquisitorial ship attacked. The Demiurg and Tau were in a group when they found themselves isolated from their compatriots (who were in dire trouble themselves). The Wicked Peter and his sister ship landed near enough to the group that they had their choice of ship to board. Not enjoying the prolonged company of the other, the bi-special group split and boarded separate ships. http://www.agisn.de/html/tau.html
